I'm 23, I work as a pastry chef in a busy restaurant outside Cambridge. I ride a motorbike, I love climbing, playing guitar and reading. I speak French and I'm hoping to go to France to study cuisine.

I have found it difficult buying things online in the past. The main problem I have is with the size of things. Now I certainly wouldn't say that I am oddly shaped or sized but I've found that when I buy things they are never exactly as I would like them - This shirt is fine in the chest but the arms are a bit too short or these jeans have perfect leg length but the waist is too big. I notice this problem particularly when buying things that come in "lettered" sizes ie, S,M,L etc which is usually how helmets are sold, so I found it really helpfull that 661 supply sizes in cm with their helmets. All I had to do was measure my head as per the instructions on the website and voila! And do you know what? When I took this helmet out of the box and tried it on it fit perfectly.
The helmet itself is the best one I've worn to date. It is light and unobtrusive when wearing it but it doesn't have that flimsy feeling that some of the lighter helmets I've tried have had. I've not crashed in this helmet yet but I'm confident that when I do (this is inevitable and the reason I need a helmet in the first place) it will have all the protection I need.
The helmet comes with a "double D ring" fastening strap, which in my humble opinion is the best you can get and it gives a comfortable yet secure feeling when riding. Plastic buckle straps may well be easier to use, partucularly when wearing gloves, but personally I'll take the extra effort it takes to do the double D ring up over the potential for a plastic buckle to snap any day.
This helmet is well vented and the padding inside is very comfortable meaning that you can really ride in it all day without having to have long breaks before you put it on again.
I bought a pair of Oakley O frame MX goggles to use with this helmet and they fit in the aperture snuggly without rattling around or moving in the gap and obscuring your vision, I've not tried any other make of goggles with this helmet but I feel that there would be no issues with movement or fit with other brands.
The graphics on the helmet are very striking but they are also very tough looking, after riding this helmet for about 3 months there are only a couple of little wear and tear scratches and it largely still looks like a new helmet. Similarly the construction of the helmet is the same. This helmet is well built and I'm looking forward to getting a lot of use out of it. I'm actually going on holiday to Sweden at the end of this month to learn to snowboard and try my hand at snowmobiling and I will be taking this helmet with me. I'll report back after the trip with any niggles or points that make it unsuitable for activities other than Mountain Biking but I'm fairly certain that IF there are any they will be minor points.
This helmet complys with all the EU directives that govern Mountain Bike helmets. The one thing I will say is that this is NOT a helmet for use with motorcycles. It has no EU mark or Gold Standard sticker and is completely illegal (and unsuitable) for road or competition use on motorcyles. If that is the type of helmet you are looking for, although they look the same, you need to be looking elsewhere.
That said this is a superb helmet for mountainbiking that offers comfort, style, build quality and most importantly safety and for £69.99 I think you'd be hard pushed to find anything better.
