'Ab Gymnic replaces monotonous sit ups and exercise. Only 10 minutes you can exercise your adbominal muscles approximately 600 times.'

With an expanding waist band after two weeks in the sun I thought it was about time to tone up my stomach. An electronic gymnast device that you 'could use anywhere' seemed just the thing to fit in with my lifestyle. WSo upon seeing this at my local store at an unbeatable price of £3-99 I thought I had nothing to lose.

Being a bit of a coward I thought I would try this on my boyfriend first. Yes you could see the muscles move but you could not hear the radio above his moans of discomfort.

I sneeringly removed the belt from him and proceeded to try it myself but I have to admit it really is very uncomfortable (and this was on the lowest setting and the programme recommended for first time use!)

By the way, be very careful as we both managed to receive an electric shock from the device.

I would not recommend this to anybody (unless they enjoyed discomfort or pain) and will be resulting to the good old fashioned physical exercise.

I have also purchased the ab gymnic 2002 due to its low price. After READING the instruction book which i doubt you have done, it says to use water or a water based gel or u WILL get stinging pain due to non-conductivity! I think u have rushed to developing a 6-pac like the model on the front of the packaging and have set the mode and intensity to a too high a level, as i too was tempted to do but resisted. Setting it to a high level WILL cause discomfort......so set it at a level of intensity that you can bear! Also you WILL get an electric shock if you touch the conducting panel while the machine is still on. So basically what i am saying is BE PATIENT and READ THE INSTRUCTION BOOK CAREFULLY!

If you add more information about how the product is attached to your body, how intrusive is it, what muscles can you use it on, how is it powered, how long does it last and so on, where did you buy it from,do they have a website, do you need to buy replacement bits for it if so where from, it would make you op more helpful. I assume you use a 'pad' system - I know from experience of using TENS machines (similar principle but for pain relief) that if you remove the pads whilst the unit is on, you will get a shock from it. It should say something to this effect in the booklet. This does sound a bargain if you can stand the pain, but as they say no pain no gain!

ABGymnic 2002 - review by mubeen

Advantages: Cheap, easy to use, variable settings, 6 modes, 10 intensity levels, no need to use gel as with older models.
Disadvantages: have to be patient and not be tempted to increase the intensity to achieve quicker results as this will only result in pain.
