Abgymnic is my very first "muscle stimulation equipment", bought because it was available for half-price from play to see what it could do for me, without expecting very much, but at least it didn't expect anything from me! It can be used all over the body, but I mainly focussed on my upper torso, with surprisingly pleasant short term results. Tonage increased pretty quickly, but did not last very long.
It is very easy to use. Simply attach the velcro strap to the belt, squeeze ("liberally", as the instructions say) out a little of the gel provided, spread it over the silver patches and then turn it on. This gel seems to have the unique quality of always being cool, no matter what temperature it has been stored at. Of course how much you need depends on how much you use and how often, but replacements can be bought for a very reasonable price on eBay.
You can then shift through the gears, although the highest few gears can be pretty intense. Some have accused it of being painful, and on a few occasions I felt discomfort, but by no means too strong a deterrant. It is slightly less painful on the lower part of the body, and on the very uppermost part and on the highest levels it can impede you from performing other tasks like typing, for example. The lower gears are nothing more than a tingle, but don't have nearly as much impact, though you have the choice of several different types of tingle.
Soon all the levels will feel softer than you would like, its effect wears of pretty quickly. It is now, however, dusty and unused in a dark corner of my bedroom. This is through no real fault of the product, except it is actually a very poor substitute for real exercise. I became disillusioned with the results and did with it what I seem to do with every attempt to gain fitness and shed fat. I probably will use it again, just to make myself feel better if my gut starts growing.
The physical condition of the product itself has deteriorated. The belt has burn marks (how?) and the strap seems stretched out. But it never did look like much-when it first arrived I thought I had been ripped off so unimpresses was I with its appearance. I may in the future decide to buy a more expensive comparable product, and I expect to be left with the feeling that you really do get what you pay for.
