ACE Arsenal Home Football Shirts 2005/6

Advantages: light pick-up, good balance and excellent performance.
Disadvantages: Takes some time to knock in, very upsetting when it dies!

...I was first introduced to ACE bats in our cricket league, one particular club all used them. This made me curious so I went to buy one, they are all handcrafted from a shop in Leeds. It was handcrafted to the balance to suit my game. The wood of the bat is hard with an excellent grain. I was disappointed at first but stuck to it as I was told that the bats improve with age. The bat then started to bow slightly, this is when the runs came! The bat soon developed an excellent middle which seemed to cover most of the bat. At this time I was playing 5-7 days/week and the bat lasted for 3 seasons until the handle gave way. The bat was still in good condition and I wished that I had had it re-handled. Only healthy surface cracks appeared and the edges were thick. This is an extremely good bat which offers a light pick-up, good balance... Read review

Advantages: An amazing shirt, comfortable and great looking
Disadvantages: None at all, except it isn't the most recent Arsenal shirt, but that doesn't really matter!

...A long time ago, (way before my time), Arsenal didn't wear what people call the traditional 'red and white,' a long time ago, their home kit used to be a dark red shade, or as people call it 'Redcurrant.' Last season was the last time Arsenal would play in their famous stadium Highbury, and so Arsenal decided that to make the last season there special, they would go back to the original colours that they wore when they first moved to Highbury, back in 1913. The shirt turned out to be immensely popular, even though it was only worn for one season. Even non-Arsenal fans seemed pretty keen on the shirt, saying it was a great looking shirt, and it was a nice way to say goodbye to Highbury. I hope you enjoy my review on a great football shirt! Advantages: Back To Tradition
Disadvantages: Fairly plain

...What better way was there to welcome arsenal to their new home of the emirates stadium than by reverting last seasons cherry coloured shirt back to our traditional colours of bright red and white with a little gold stripe down the side. The shirt itself is covered in little spheres which are part of Nike's Sphere dry system, designed to wick away sweat in an instant thus keeping hte body cool and from becoming to sticky on a hot summers day. The layout of the shirt is fairly plain with simply the arsenal crest, the nike logo and our new sponsors Fly emirates placed across the middle of the shirt . Yes is has truly been a pleasure watching arsenal play in their traditional colours again this season and i look forward to seeing them in this shirt again next time around... Read review
