...After 3yrs and 9000 miles of loyal service my original Trek 1500 road bike gave up the ghost after coming off second best with a battered old Nissan Micra!! I guess that proves that steel is stronger than Aluminium!! My insurance company were great and sorted me out with a replacement within 2 weeks. I was delighted to find that the actual replacement was going to be the new 2006 model which features several improvements from the bike that I had previously. The price of the bike is £1300 fully delivered and set up, but upgrades to components such as saddle / wheels and pedals can bring the cost up if you want. I booked a day off work to receive delivery of my bike, which arrived as planned and only required adjustment to the handlebars, seat-post and saddle. Advantages: Top of the range "bling" rear mech
Disadvantages: 9 speed "only", superceeded by RD-7800 10-speed version

...I bought this rear derailleur to replace an Ultegra mech when upgrading my bike from 8 to 9-speeds (well, 16 to 18 speed really with my double front chainset). Apparently, this mech is also compatible with 8-speed systems, you just need to change the cable mounting position. Dura Ace is the name of Shimano's top of the range group of bicycle components, or "groupset", for road race bikes, and the 9-speed 7700-series was introduced to the public in 1997 after Shimano sponsored riders using Dura-Ace 7700 series equipped bikes in 1996. ...so you want to be pro, well this is the bike for you! no its no ordinary bike, apart from having two weels and a frame witha comfortable seat. there is more to it! this fast, speeding, raging cycling machine, is a one best described as a ghost! as it is inevitably easy, fun and motervaiting, and it is perfect for YOU! with its many gears, firm and solid grips, and a most comfortable seat, who could ask more, who would want more? as you would race round the track, speed the roads, glide the paths and charge the moment, what fun you would have, what pleasure you would get, what time you would spend. so what you waitin for? come on, go bye tat bike, and start them burning weels, ride like you have never ridden before, as with this bike you will feal the difference, and show off to your friends, as they watch in amaisment...
