"LOCKED" INN . . .

Advantages: lovely rooms, great food, good location, easily accessible
Disadvantages: could be noisy at night

This week I stayed at the Holiday Inn Camden Lock for three nights while I was in London for work. My only previous trips to London have had me staying in the ExCel Novotel in Docklands so this was a new experience for me. LOCATION The hotel is located in Camden, next to (predictably!) Camden Lock. It is about a five minute walk from Camden Town tube station, which makes it fairly convenient if you?re having to use public transport to reach it. The website states that the hotel is also outwith the congestion zone, which I guess means you could drive down to the hotel and then use it as a base to get elsewhere using the tube or buses. (Although its worth noting that the website also states the car parking facility is 1km away!) As it is right off the main street, it is very handy for all the shops, restaurants and bars too. Which ...

Pirelli P6000

Advantages: Will keep you on road
Disadvantages: Pricey

There are a few reviews already on this tyre but I will give my view and add some information for those who don't really know much about tyres, I'm not an expert so please correct me if I am wrong with any of the details. Pirelli are one of the top brand names when it comes to tyres, they can be slightly more expensive than some other top brands and are reasons other than garages trying to make a buck or two on them. Pirelli tyres are a well balanced tyre for all occasions and most driving styles. Pirelli are preferred tyres for manufacturers such as BMW, Ford and Vauxhall and some others. Infact when I bought my Vauxhall Vectra it had 4 Pirelli P6000 and still has. Previous to buying this car I had always used budget tyres and even when to car dismantlers and bought good tyres for £6 - £8 depending on quality of tread. I've used ...

Lock it up

Advantages: Locks cases
Disadvantages: Not high security

Antler combination lock On a recent foray abroad, I decided that it was about time I started locking my trusty holdall.. just because it has served me well for about 20years, doesn?t mean that it will always remain tightly shut when I get it off that carousel. So, needing something simple, and not with a key, I settled on the combination lock. I realised early on that I would lose a key, or put it into the bag for safe keeping, but realised that I could probably remember numbers. ~~Product and Packaging~~ My combination lock is in orange, but I have seen the blue ones for sale. These type of locks are for zipped cases?ones which have zips which join together and can be fastened I assume. It is about 5cm in length and has 3 small dials at the side with a metal hook like contraption which snaps closed like other ...
