Advantages: Hits the ball a long way with a high degree of accuracy Disadvantages: Quite expensive (But not the dearest on the market!)
...” that makes for a good sound bite in advertisements. What is a fact is that the clubface on the Adams woods is slightly narrower and not so deep as on the average deep-faced woods that abound on the market today. This, for me, makes me feel more confident I can hit the ball well with them, as huge, oversized woods make me feel like I’m swinging a shovel and not a golf club. (Sorry Callaway, but its different strokes for different folks!)
~ ~ The clubs I own are the original Adams Tight Lies Woods which came on the market around the mid-1990’s, and which were endorsed by no less a player than the great Tom Watson. (Who as far as I’m aware is still playing them) I paid big bucks for these clubs at the time. £360 (old Irish Punts) which relates to about €440 for three clubs.
They have since been replaced by updated versions on a number of occasions...

Advantages: incredibly effective Disadvantages: OUCH. It hurts!
..."versions". firebox.com only sell one, which is the one I wanted. It has a little rev counter on the top to check your speed. It cost £25, which did seem a bit expensive, but I was told it was worth it, so I ordered anyway.
It arrived a few days later, so i opened it up immediately and started "playing" with it. By the end of the first night, I gave up, frustrated, as I had not actually managed to get the thing into a rhythm to keep it going. I tried again the next day, and kind of "discovered" the way you do it. Once you learn you never forget! Well at first I could get it up to about 5000 RPM, which was, according to some websites I looked on, not very good. Damn, this thing was addictive, and I couldn't put it down all day. By the end of that day I had something like 8000 RPM on it, and aching wrists! It works your wrist muscles so well, it...

Advantages: small, practical, the neon version lights are cool Disadvantages: hard to get started, only works one part of the body
...this problem would be to have some kind of lever or flick switch that gives the gyro a jolt for the first time.
On the device itself is a screen that shows whoever is using it how fast they have spun the device. How many "rpm" you have managed to achieve. This is great fun when competing with friends to see who can get the most! It also stores the top achievement so that you can attempt to beat it another day. The batteries in the screen do last a long time, and will rarley need repalcing, However, if they do you can see how to do it in the tiny peice of toilet paper that is the instructions, that you will find stuffed in the box when it comes or when you buy it.
With only having tried the standard and owning the neon versions, I have to say they are both very comfortable when using them, and you do develop a knack to using it after the fist few...
