INTRODUCTION
As soon as I saw these boots I wanted them. I'd seen professional players such as Ashley Cole and Arjen Robben wearing them, and they looked like the perfect boots for me. I looked on Internet sites and bought football equipment magazines, and my heart sank.

As with most professional equipment, the price is also of a professional standard. Everywhere I looked, the boots were £99.99! There was no way I was going to be able to afford these, and even if I could, there was no way my parents would let me spend this much on a pair of boots.

That was back in 2004, and earlier this year, I needed a new pair of boots. I was allowed to spend a maximum of £50. I decided to look around a lot of websites before I made my choice of which boots to get. And out of all the websites there were, I ended getting my boots of Ebay.

I looked for a lot of boots on Ebay, and a lot of the decent ones were over £50, and finding a pair was even more difficult by the fact I needed a size of pair 12's. (Getting a pair of decent size 12 football boots is particularly hard on Ebay)!!

But after a while, I finally found a pair. The white Adidas F50's. It seemed like a godsend. I had wanted these boots for two years, and eventually I had found a pair. They were size 12, and, they were £50!! I ordered them, and they arrived a week later. After two years of waiting, I had finally got the boots I wanted!!

LOOKS
I think that the boots look really cool! There are three different colour schemes, (see below), and I think that I have got the best colour scheme, the white and blue one. With swirling lines and interesting colour contrasts, the boots really do stand out when you are on the pitch. People say that a lot of the time, players can be recognised by the other players on the same team just by looking at their feet, and this is definitely the case with these boots, because they stand out so much.

There is a thick blue line that runs round the back of the boot, towards the middle, then under the boot to the underside where it continues onto the other side of the boot.

There are three lines on the tongue of the boot, (well if you can call it a tongue). This is the Adidas logo. There are also three lines on the very back of the boot, on the edge of the cup where you place you feet.

Overall, the looks of the boots is great, they are one of the best looking pair of boots around, even after two years of been released!

DESIGN
The F50's have a very technical design. In fact they were the first boots to start the tongue over the laces design and the different insoles design. The front of the boot goes straight up the boot, and goes up and over the laces. Most of it is sowed onto the boot, but the top isn't, so this means that you can fold it down, do up or untie your laces, then put it back over the laces. By covering the laces, when shooting with the front of you boot you have a much cleaner striking area.

Sometimes when you shoot, (with other boots that don't have covered up laces) the laces can get in the way of the ball making a good connection with your boot, and this can send your shots wayward. So the boots are very good for strikers who want to get their shots very accurate and powerful.

MATERIALS
There are a few materials used in making the boots. The main front part of the boot is made from blown K leather, and this means that you can have protection on the upper of you foot, and it also gives you a great feel of the ball. The side of the boot is made of a high abrasive textile, which is very soft and it gives you a lot of comfort. This material is also very good at not absorbing water

COMFORT
These boots are probably the most comfortable I have ever had. When you put them on, they just slip onto your foot lie a sock, and they stay stuck to your feet just like a second skin. They are so comfortable it is unbelievable. Sometimes when you are playing you just forget that you are wearing any boots at all. Having the tongue overlapping the laces also gives you more comfort, because the laces then don't dig into your feet like with some boots. And then there are the three interchangeable insoles…

INSOLES
The boots come with three different pairs of insoles, and each one give the boots very different qualities.

If you want to change the insoles, it is very easy. All you have to do is dig your fingers in at the back of the boot, reach underneath the insole and pull it out. Then if you want to put an insole in, you just slip the insole in and make sure that it is in nice and snugly.

So the three insoles, there is the comfort insole, the light insole, and the professional insole.

> The comfort insole is quite thick. It is made to cushion your feet, so that when you are running your feet won't get sore. Not the best if you want to run quite fast, but pretty good if you are a defender or a goalkeeper.

> The light insole is very thin and also very flexible. By putting these insoles into your boots, your boots are quite flexible and also very light. They are much lighter than the other insoles, and if you put the light insole in one boot and a different type of insole in the other boot and put them both on, you really can feel a difference in weight! If you really want to be able to move fast on the football field, make sure you are wearing the light insole!!

> The last insole is the professional insole. They are neither heavy nor light, thick nor thin. It is just a mixture of the both. You can wear this insole if you can't decide which other insole you need to wear, or if you are a player who doesn't need to be fast, but doesn't just stand around, so this insole would probably be best for a holding midfielder!

BEST PART OF THE BOOTS
In my opinion, I think that the best part of the boot is either the way you can adjust which playing style you want your boots to fit, or the comfort you get while wearing the boots. Which one? I think it would be the different insoles, because I think that it is such a clever idea. It is a brilliant design from Adidas, and I think that it really is the best part of the boots.

OTHER COLOUR OPTIONS
There are also two other colour schemes as well as the White with blue scheme. There is the black with yellow scheme and the Silver with orange scheme. For a better idea of what they look like, go look at my pictures!!

OVERALL
Together, I think that these are an amazing pair of boots. I haven't been wearing them lately because my school recently banned boots with blades, so I have had to buy a new pair of Nikes, (expect the review soon)!

But if I get any spare time to play football with my mates, I wear these, because they are just as good as my new pair. They have great style and design, and really are a great pair of boots!!!!!
