I have used predators since the first model came out in 1994 .Since then the boot has improved dramatically and if now the best boot on the market without question. HOW DOES THE BOOT IMPROVE ASPECTS OF YOUR GAME?
CURL, SWERVE, AND POWER The boot features “Predator” technology on the upper of the boot. This Predator technology has evolved through the many different boots launched by Adidas, the first in 1994 but now in 2000 it the predator vamps are even more refined and better positioned. Predator technology allows the player to but more swerve, power and curl onto the ball. This is done by placing rubber vamps along the five metatarsals of the foot, these five metatarsals provided the power for a shot, so placing them there increases your kicking potential. Not only are the Predator vamps placed on the five metatarsals of the foot but also along the medial side of the boot. This gives better accuracy when passing or shooting as well as adding more curl. The rubber vamps have been proven in tests to put 20% more curl on a ball than the normal leather upper of leading competitors. This means that the ball will rotate 7.45 times per sec whilst airborne compared to 6.20rps of a normal boot. The boot also has a wider surface area which provides players with a larger and more accurate “sweet spot” also enhancing accuracy and ball control. STABILITY ,GRIP AND TURNING ABILITY Traxion is unique to Adidas ,and enhances a players stability ,grip and turning ability. Traxion evolves the positioning of specially designed studs in specific areas to enhance all aspects stated. Traxion provides the grip of studs but also the added bonus of a molded shoe making the boot much more conformable. The scientifically configured Traxion studs are unique in two ways .These scientifically altered Traxion elements have a smaller surface area at the tip ,so they penetrate even hard ground easily and far more effectively than any other stud in any pitch conditions resulting in better stability .

COMFORT The boots design must mirror the shape and contours of the foot so to allow it to act and feel naturally within the shoe .The inlay sole is molded to the shape of the foot ,so it provides an exceptional level of comfort .It mirrors the foots shape so it flexes where the foot flexes and cushions where the foot cushions and fits to your foot like a second skin. The lacing system is also advanced and has been streamlined for greater comfort and provides a larger, cleaner kicking area. This innovation will enable players to gain a clean strike of the ball at all times. The boot also has a specially designed tongue, which is asymmetrically shaped so to expose as much as the Predator technology as possible when striking the ball. It also fastens tightly to the upper with a Velcro fastener to create a smother surface area with which to kick the ball without causing any unnecessary pressure to sensitive areas on top of the foot.

These boots are quite amazing and as you can see incorporate so much technology that they can hardly fail to improve your performance. As for the life of them ,well i have hade mine for a season and there fine and have shown no sign of wear or damage ,perhaps other people haven’t looked after there boots properly or I have just been lucky but all I can say is that these boots really are the future of football equipment.
