...Having tried several different shoes over the years, my last 3 pairs have been Adidas and I would not buy anything else. When you are walking several miles during a game of golf, shoes, next to golf clubs of course, have to be the most important outlay. It is important that you chose a correct fit and that the shoes are comfortable and functional.
Adidas, who are of course famous for making training shoes have a wealth of experience, about 75 years I think, and seem to have used it wisely in the design of their golf shoes range.
They offer several different types of golf shoe from the more traditional style to a training type shoe which seem to be becomming very popular amongst professionals.

Advantages: Looks beautiful Disadvantages: Its an expensive fly away!

Who are they and why trust them?
They were founded in 1925 in Germany by Adi Dassler. Adi created adidas after realizing the need for performance athletic shoes. Also the reason they have three stripes is to represent his three sons. As Adidas has matured they now cover every kind of sportswear you could dream of, including footballs.
At a cost of £20 from adidas I expected quality. To be truthful, quality never arrived.

Advantages: Comfortable, well made, reasonable price Disadvantages: not a lot of toe protection
...I have starting playing indoor cricket, and have been playing on polished wooden surfaces, where grip has been important, especially when bowling. I found the Adidas Uproar to be very comfortable, although not specifically designed for cricket, although taking one on the foot from an indoor ball still hurts.
For bowling I found grip very good, essential if you want to avoid turning your ankle over when bowling, even though these are a low cut trainer. The bottom of the shoe has a non-marking indoor sole, and good traction. A cross trainer cut would be a plus, although these shoes were good value and being well made will undoubtedly last for a long time....
