Alpina CONDOR MINI

...Has some of you may have noticed, I have wrote several reviews on various different Maglite's that I own. But the Mini Maglite LED AA was the newest of the additions to my Maglite's. Previous to me owning this one, I had owned the standard Mini Maglite AA, for this torch I purchased the optional Niteize LED upgrade, while this upgrade was more than adequate, it was only 1 watt, whereas the Mini Maglite LED AA is 3 watts and the difference is out of this world. But I will get to this later in my review. The Maglite range of torches are arguable the best and most robust torches in the world and as such are still used my various Police and security services across the globe. ...I purchased the Hope mini brakes to replace the Giants own brand type that were on my XTC3 bike, these brakes were ok but the back brake had caused me no end of problems, so I looked on the net and after reading several reviews I decided to purchase the Hope Mini. I purchased the Hope mini's from my local bike shop for £110 a wheel and the kind gent fitted me them for that price as well. Like any type of brakes they will not be working at there full efficiency until you have done several miles, I noticed after I had got the bike out of the shop, after getting the brakes done they did not feel really powerful, but after 2 miles I could feel them becoming more powerful, and now they are excellent. ...it makes them feel good when other anglers (whose alarms are silent) look over and wish it was their alarms making a noise. In addition if I had sensitive alarms I would get no sleep whatsoever. I am such a light sleeper that I hear every bleep of my alarms. The Mini Micron is the best alarm I have ever owned. It is so simple - just press the button and hey presto. You can't adjust the sensitivity, the tone, the light colour or anyhting. You can't even adjust the volume. Brilliant! If you want it louder then you have to get a sounder box. The Mini Micron registers vicious movements only so it won't go off at the slightest brreze, or vibration on the bank. The Mini Microns are 100% reliable.
