Atomic Beta Carv 9.16-Amazing

Advantages: A amazing ski to many adavntages.A perfect ski for any ability.
Disadvantages: NONE

Well I bought these ski's at Snow and Rock in Sheffield and when I first used them in the half pipe (carving, steeps, new school, race there good for all) they were really responsive and the stiffness add's to the excellent qualities. Then I took them to Val Thoren at Easter and one cruisy blue's and reds they were so responive and had such a great turn radius and on black runs and off piste they are so agile. The price is perfect I got mine for £200 ...

A demanding ski for the demanding skier

Advantages: Extreme Performance!
Disadvantages: Demands to be worked hard, not for lazy cruising, pricey

The Atomic Beta Rides fall into a new category (yes, another one!!) of skis for this year: "Free Ride". Free Rides are a cross between specialty powder skis and free carve skis. The shovel/tip end of the ski is very wide whilst the the waist is narrower than that of powder skis, giving them better performance on groomed runs. These skis will let you go and have fun all over the mountain. The Atomics are one of the very best of this bunch of skis. ...
...as go very fast down the groomers too. For specs, well it's bright orange, but that doesn't really affect much expect the looks you'll get in the line at the lifts!! It has Atomic's Power Channel technology which pre flexes the ski to give a quicker rsponse in short turns. It has a 17mm carving plate and titanium is used to reduce the weight of the ski. This is an aggresive ski that demands to be driven hard. It is a wonderful carver with good edge ...

SW 12 vs My Speed Wave 14 & this year experiences

Advantages: Huge and variable grip and cool graphics.
Disadvantages: Not resistant to rocks and their abrasive personalities.

Wow, What a ski! I had the Speed Wave 12 last year and bought a 4 cm shorter SpeedWave 14 this year. This ski carves it up even dull ( now ) and keeps on the line I set without chatter. I especially like the softer flex in the bumps and the solid edge they give me when I trust them at my limit. I also like the variable turn radius, VERY cool for those easier last few runs of the day at speed. I found the SW14 at 160cm and being 5'6" and 200lbs and ...
...to be fantastic ( I have demoed LOTS of hi-end skis lately ) . I would not hesitate to recommend this to any advanced skier who likes to carve hard and wants to carve harder and feel the thrill of solid and reliable grip in all conditions. I do like the graphics ( and so do all of the kids ) and I find the scratch resistant top sheet better than last year. I wish all skis had a harder base when skiing rocks. I do wish the Fusion binding was a bit ...

A real nice all mountain ski

Advantages: Price, responsive and stable
Disadvantages: Not a ski for extremely high speed

Just spent a day at Killington on my CMX Pro's. I was skiing the whole Mtn with friends and was very pleased with the snappy response of these boards. THey carved very nicely and were responsive on quick turns. Edge hold was very good on steeps and in icey areas. THis isn't a GS or racing ski, but for the advanced intermediate or low-level expert, a REAL nice board. I should say that price was my main issue here. These were the 2007 (last yrs) model ...

They have barely changed in 2 years - Wonder Why!?

Advantages: Durability, speed and control - Superb!!
Disadvantages: There's no snow!

Rossignol have kept these bad boys pretty much the same for the past 2 seasons simply because there is nothing they could do to make them better! These skis are guaranteed fun, on or off-piest. I'm going to keep them for at least 10 years. Not quite as fast as my old school Rossignol 198's but then again Bandits are like paddles in comparison. The wide structure does help them cruise nicely over powder and still leaves you with a great degree of ...
...those of an intermediate or advanced level. Very hard to fault them but I would say they need tip guards as these do tend to get a little cut up. Not really a fault, just a good idea if you want to keep them looking as slick as they did when you bought them. ...
