They have barely changed in 2 years - Wonder Why!?
Review of Rossignol Bandit B2 Skis by volcom

Advantages: Durability, speed and control - Superb!!
Disadvantages: There's no snow!

Rossignol have kept these bad boys pretty much the same for the past 2 seasons simply because there is nothing they could do to make them better! These skis are guaranteed fun, on or off-piest. I'm going to keep them for at least 10 years. Not quite as fast as my old school Rossignol 198's but then again Bandits are like paddles in comparison. The wide structure does help them cruise nicely over powder and still leaves you with a great degree of ...
...those of an intermediate or advanced level. Very hard to fault them but I would say they need tip guards as these do tend to get a little cut up. Not really a fault, just a good idea if you want to keep them looking as slick as they did when you bought them. ... Read review

The original freeride skis
Review of Salomon X Scream by Domhughes

Advantages: Ease of turning, handling, style, following.
Disadvantages: None I can think of.

...always try to get the Salomon X-Screams. They are incredibly easy to turn, have a nice carving action, and are probably one of the best skis around. They have a huge free-ride following, and are used by beginners and experts alike. They are the skis by which all others are judged. The newer X-screams have the Prolink arms 'to guarantee ski/snow contact'. Wether it actually works is another matter... but it sounds and looks cool! So basically, these ... Read review

Volkl ski bases are bad!!
Review of Völkl Carver plus by hunkaspunk

Advantages: Nice to ski on, effortless turning
Disadvantages: Have had bad experience with prevoius model

I have been skiing since I was 3 years old am now am 21. I have been on the world circuit most of my life and have been in the German national ski team and won German national titles at a young age. A team member and I both bought a previous model of Volkl carvers (orange ones) and although they are and excellent ski we both had problems with the bases. During training in New Zealand on a rocky face there was a small land slide with pebbles scattered ...
...as much as we could we later found that our bases had huge chunks taken out of them by the pebbles. They were huge gored out grooves and we were not impressed!. Later that season I crashed in a downhill event and snapped one of my skis. So the only problem was that they broke on me and that the bases were similar in strength to solid wax. ... Read review

A real nice all mountain ski
Review of Blizzard CMX PRO IQ by bikoDog

Advantages: Price, responsive and stable
Disadvantages: Not a ski for extremely high speed

Just spent a day at Killington on my CMX Pro's. I was skiing the whole Mtn with friends and was very pleased with the snappy response of these boards. THey carved very nicely and were responsive on quick turns. Edge hold was very good on steeps and in icey areas. THis isn't a GS or racing ski, but for the advanced intermediate or low-level expert, a REAL nice board. I should say that price was my main issue here. These were the 2007 (last yrs) model ...
