The Greatest Skis in the World
Advantages: Fun, fun, fun Disadvantages: None
...In the 1999/2000 season, Salomon intrigued the ski market by introducing the first twin-tip ski for the consumer. A twin-tip ski is one that is raised at both the tip and the tail, allowing the skier to ski backwards as well as forwards. These skis heralded a revolution in the ski industry, which other ski manufacturers have joined. Despite the influx of twin-tip skis in the 2000/2001 season, the Salomon 1080s are seen by many people as being the ... ...like your sense of individuality, Salomon has the answer. This season they have been developing some limited edition designs and they are planning on carrying these on next season. If you have never tried these skis, try them. If you have already tried them, then you will most likely have already bought a pair. ...

They have barely changed in 2 years - Wonder Why!?
Advantages: Durability, speed and control - Superb!! Disadvantages: There's no snow!
Rossignol have kept these bad boys pretty much the same for the past 2 seasons simply because there is nothing they could do to make them better! These skis are guaranteed fun, on or off-piest. I'm going to keep them for at least 10 years.
Not quite as fast as my old school Rossignol 198's but then again Bandits are like paddles in comparison. The wide structure does help them cruise nicely over powder and still leaves you with a great degree of ... ...those of an intermediate or advanced level. Very hard to fault them but I would say they need tip guards as these do tend to get a little cut up. Not really a fault, just a good idea if you want to keep them looking as slick as they did when you bought them. ...

The original freeride skis
Advantages: Ease of turning, handling, style, following. Disadvantages: None I can think of.
...always try to get the Salomon X-Screams. They are incredibly easy to turn, have a nice carving action, and are probably one of the best skis around. They have a huge free-ride following, and are used by beginners and experts alike. They are the skis by which all others are judged. The newer X-screams have the Prolink arms 'to guarantee ski/snow contact'. Wether it actually works is another matter... but it sounds and looks cool!
So basically, these ...

Advantages: A amazing ski to many adavntages.A perfect ski for any ability. Disadvantages: NONE
Well I bought these ski's at Snow and Rock in Sheffield and when I first used them in the half pipe (carving, steeps, new school, race there good for all) they were really responsive and the stiffness add's to the excellent qualities. Then I took them to Val Thoren at Easter and one cruisy blue's and reds they were so responive and had such a great turn radius and on black runs and off piste they are so agile. The price is perfect I got mine for £200 ...
