...This is the perfect rucksack for any adventurers out there, with many pockets for specific uses, like a soft pocket for goggles or glasses, a pocket for avalanche probes, and a pocket and hole for mp3 player and head phones, also great for biking due to the 2 litre hydration pack that is neatly stored haning from the bag, the tube has a lock so no water can dribble out. Very thin and extremely compfortable. the fabric is very durable and has two buckles to hold ski's blades or a snowboard vertically or horizontally, paded waist strap and many loops and clips to hold ice axes spades and keys. ...at the time but they obviously came to their senses and realised that nobody would be riding with their rucksack's front pocket turned inside out, so it's disappeared on the later design. On the face of it then, the older model actually sounds better than the newer and, in terms of storage and load handling, I think that's a fair statement. Where the newer model scores well though is in the fit. The contoured air-flow padding on the back panel has remained from the original to the new (and it still doesn't work!) but the reasonably comfy contoured shoulder-straps have been replaced by even comfier "floating" shoulder straps that adapt far more readily to the postures usually found when cycling. The waist and sternum straps remain, although on the newer model the height adjustment for the sternum strap is far more positive and the overall effect... Read review

Advantages: Super tough, military specification daysack with internal frame
Disadvantages: Not a lot of pockets!

...Made of 1000 denier textured nylon which is as tough as old boots, with synthetic fabric used on body contact areas. It is fast drying, durable and very comfortable on the back. The alluminium alloy frame gives excellent support and harness rigidity to the pack. The two buckle lid closure ensures maximum weatherproofing, plus gear can be held under the lid in good weather. Dual density foam ensures comfort and prevents items in the pack from digging into the back, and there is a waist belt with 25mm webbing which holds the pack snugly onto the back when crossing rough terrain. There are four accessory attatchment points from which 3 bar buckles can be used to attach straps additional to the elastic strapping. Ideal for use as a civilain or in the military!... Read review
