Advantages: Well built, Good load transfer, Non sweat back system
Disadvantages: Heavy, looks slightly odd, Occipital cavity doesnt work, front pocket opening too small.

...The Cyclops III is the update to the legendary if not popular cyclops series of rucksacks. Whereas most manufacturers offer packs with an ajustable back system the Cyclops series take a differant approach. Instead of buying the pack and ajusting it you by it in back sizes - size 1 and 2 for the ladies and sizes 2, 3 and 4 for the lads. Of course berghaus arent unique in using this method of sizing, a number of firms use it but the vast majorty of packs are adjustable/ So whats on the pack? Well there have been some tweeks since i bought mine in 2002. Starting from the bottom up theres a hib belt with what berghaus describe as "grabber" fins, what this means that the hip belts uses a mix of firm and softer foams on a precurved plate so it wraps around the wearers hips. Advantages: Excellent allignment, nice even balanced feel.
Disadvantages: Not cheap, takes time to get used to.

...My overall putting ability was never too bad but somedays it can be just plain awful, i decided after much deliberation that i needed a better tool for the job, i was fed up of missing short putts for par and walking away feeling like i could have done better, so i went out and spent £50 for a 2nd hand Odyssey 2 ball white hot putter - im glad i did, mostly. First of all i would like to say that to improve at any sport theres nothing like practice, then more practice, this is especially true for golf, and none more so than the art of putting, after all its on the putting green where you play most of your shots (an average score of 90 would usually entail 35-40 putts, you use the putter more than any other club in your bag), The Odyssey 2 ball white hot putter is no gimme, you wont pick it up and start to hole everything on sight... ...I bought this tent from a discount online store. This is a tunnel tent and relies entirely on being properly pegged to stay erect but once it's pitched I found it more stable in the wind than any dome. On my own I can have it up in 5 minutes. The living area is almost the same size as the inner tent and big enough to kneel up in. The tent comfortably sleeps 2 adults and accomodates 2 adults and a small child. The living area sets it apart from any dome tent especially for camping in the UK where the weather is so unpredictable. You could easily cook and spend a few hours in there without feeling uncomfortable! It's also good for cycling as bikes and luggage can be stored in the front and it only weighs 4.2kg which is a good bit less than similar makes.
