Advantages: A amazing ski to many adavntages.A perfect ski for any ability. Disadvantages: NONE
...Well I bought these ski's at Snow and Rock in Sheffield and when I first used them in the half pipe (carving, steeps, new school, race there good for all) they were really responsive and the stiffness add's to the excellent qualities. Then I took them to Val Thoren at Easter and one cruisy blue's and reds they were so responive and had such a great turn radius and on black runs and off piste they are so agile. The price is perfect I got mine for £200 and put some off my own bindings on. They are a wonderful ski for intermediates, and experts alike. Carving, speed, off piste, crusing and new school there great. Definatly worth considering for this sesaon.A must buy for any improving skiiers.

Advantages: Extreme Performance! Disadvantages: Demands to be worked hard, not for lazy cruising, pricey
...The AtomicBeta Rides fall into a new category (yes, another one!!) of skis for this year: "Free Ride". Free Rides are a cross between specialty powder skis and free carve skis. The shovel/tip end of the ski is very wide whilst the the waist is narrower than that of powder skis, giving them better performance on groomed runs. These skis will let you go and have fun all over the mountain.
The Atomics are one of the very best of this bunch of skis. It lets you attack the off piste powder as well as go very fast down the groomers too.
For specs, well it's bright orange, but that doesn't really affect much expect the looks you'll get in the line at the lifts!! It has Atomic's Power Channel technology which pre flexes the ski to give a quicker rsponse in short turns. It has a 17mm carving plate and titanium is used to reduce...

Advantages: Great for progressing from basic principals in the park and on the piste. Disadvantages: Not as durable as one might expect from a beginner's board.
...I bought this board two seasons ago as an upgrade from the rental gear i was previously used to. As a beginner i found this board met all my needs, Atomic's edges helping me feel secure in my turns and confident to try everything a little faster than before. As i progressed i found the board to be light and flexible enough to try a few tricks, namely hurling-self-into-powder air as it's commonly known. It's been classified as a freestyle board pretty much every where i've seen it but i found that it rides well all over the mountain, piste, park, powder and most importantly the lift queue.
I've managed to damage the tail edge a little, not sure if it was due to my mistreatment or just low durablility but the damage is superfical and doesnt effect the performance at all....

The Shure Beta 52 is my preferred dynamic bass drum microphone, for both live and studio use. It provides a focused, punchy sound which is ideal for rock and pop bass drum sounds. It is also effective on sources such as bass guitar amplifiers and other... more
Generally a good mic. Suitible for stage or live use. As with all Shure gear, it's very durable and for a touring musician it can last quite a while. (but then so can any mic that's treated well)
It's a dynamic micropone (moving coil) so it does not... more
