Advantages: Shock absorbant, great design, very cheap Disadvantages: NA
Im big into boxing, and i use so many pieces of equipment, but i will have to say that the Lonsdale CurvedHook and JabPads are a fantastic piece of kit and a defininate recommendation from me to anybody!!
With an old school look about them, they look fantastic and well designed. With a chocolate brown leather and white stitching, they are definately unique.
Most people tend to worry about risk of injury when boxing, but from my experience these pads are designed in a way to prevent this risk, with a thick shock absorbant foam padding inside, risk of injury to the hands and wrist are greatly reduced.
As from the name the pads are designed for all types of punches, giving you a wider range of training activities in one small product, and for a great price too!
I would definately have to recommend this product to anyone willing to ...
Advantages: Quick, easy, cheap, secure Disadvantages: Won't stick to everything
There's not an awful lot you can say about hook and loop fasteners, most people will know it as Velcro but they're not allowed to call it that because it's a trademark.
Anyway, I was looking for something to secure a speaker to the boot of my car without having to drill holes into the body. I came up with the idea of using self-adhesive velcro pads, which these are, I only used the hook part of the pads as they stuck to the carpet anyway.
The pack I bought was £2.29 for 24 sticky velcro pads, you get both the hook and loop part in the pack. Each pad is about 2cm x 2cm and you just peel off the back and stick it to what you like.
The hook part is yellow and the loop part is white, not sure if that matters too much.
They're useful for anything really, especially items in a car as they won't slide around when you're turning ...
So bear with me as this is my first stab at writing a technology review but I received a new Blackberry for work a few weeks ago and I'm really pleased with it so I though I would write a review on it.
The model in question is the Blackberry Curve 8310 Smartphone. I got mine free but with price plans available with the different service providers it can be anywhere up to £200 I believe.
The first thing I noticed about the phone (which is what made me choose it and as you can probably tell that I'm not very technologically minded!) is that it looks good. The phone has a lovely metallic finish, almost like a gunmetal grey colour to it although it does come in a pink version too (I wasn't allowed this for work unfortunately!) It has really nice rounded edges too and in my opinion is quite sleek. It's very light weight too, just like ...
