Advantages: great for weightloss, fun for all the family, improves posture, balance and health Disadvantages: expensive, can only register up to 8 family members
adaptations you can make in terms of colours in your own profile and you can use buttons to zoom in and even view your personal trainer from a different angle (I walked in once to find my little brother chuckling as he changed the view of his female personal trainer to view her from behind as she did press-ups!) The colours are bright and attractive and the graphics are impressive considering the main focus of Nintendo is interactivity!
Set Up
The board and Wii fit software is really easy to set up. It is already assembled and it is just a case of inserting the disc and following the onscreen instructions and then following the instructions to synchronise the Wii balance board to the console. After this initial set up - whenever you want to use the program you just move the Wii balance board in front of the television, press ...

Advantages: Easy way to keep fit. Disadvantages: Can't think of any.
Last Christmas, my mum (a.k.a. "Santa") got the family a Wii Fit - hinting at my sister and I that we need to keep fit. I'm going to admit, I'm a bit fat. Now, I'm not one of those people you see in documentaries who can't get out of bed because they're huge but I could stand to lose a stone or two. I did lose about half a stone though so I was happy about that. When I started using the Wii fit I was a bit anxious about trying it out because it had been a while since I'd been to the gym and I wasn't too keen to let my family see how unfit I was! However, I've been using it on-and-off since Christmas and it's great! It's been about a month since I last used it ...

Advantages: Helps you lose weight, tracks your progress Disadvantages: You need quite a bit of space for the balance board
training and improving your posture.
You then get your own profile which tracks your weight and bmi in a graph, and you can set targets for weight loss.
There are lots of interesting types of exercise you can do, such as hula hooping, step aerobics using the balance board, running on the spot, ski jumping, tightrope walking (which I have never managed to walk further than 1m, I always end up falling off!), ski slalom, muscle toning and yoga. It's easy to spend an hour on the wii fit, trying out different exercises and it's surprising how much of a workout you actually get. Many times I've had to stop for a drink of water or a rest and you do manage to work up a sweat.
You can pick either a male or female personal trainer who is good at encouraging you through the different exercises and yoga positions.
You have a 'fit cash ...
