i bought a beach beat board just before xmas 2000, i ordered it through harpoon looies surf shop in afflecks palace in manchester. this board was shaped by chops lascalles himself and is a fantastic shape. it has incredible floatiness, and for someone who is the wrong side of 13 stone this board is amazing, while i am about 15 stone and only surfing mini mals for the past 3 years, i found that this model, 7 foot, gave me instant short board skills, i found myself doing (badly) what i had seen the pros do on videos for years. it has a fish tail which allows very quick turns and is easy tail slide. i love this board so much. i would advise anyone who can dont buy an off the peg board, get it made for you it makes all the difference
