The first grumpy free break for some years, he was rock bothering in Italy (environmental stuff) so where could we go? After debating and a bottle of wine we decided to try Prague and checked on the Best Western site to see what delights and bargains they had to offer. For those of you that read my reviews you will notice that we tend to use B.W a lot and there is good reason for doing so. Firstly they are all different, some quirky, some modern, big and small and secondly I can book them all through central reservations, I can easily change hotels, nights and add rooms etc, nothing seems too much trouble. Where did I choose? The Best Western Meteor Plaza and what a good choice it turned out to be. At the time of booking they had a two for three night offer bringing the price for 3 nights B&B in total £150.00, bargain ...

The Meteor, The Ultimare Profile,

Advantages: Great programme, very informative

, and some early footage of the aircraft being flown for the first test flights is also shown. We are shown production line footage too, and other incidental "backroom stuff" that we do not often see. All very stirring stuff, really. Colour footage is shown of the E28/39 prototype and we are shown the first flight of the Meteor which took place in early 1943. Incidentally, this shows how war can spur on the technological advances when the very survival of one's nation is at stake, as the Gloster Meteor took under three years to get from drawing board into the air. There's some nice colour film of the first all-Gloster Meteor squadron, 616 Squadron, and some post World War 2 film is shown, one interesting piece is a mock attack by Meteor fighter jets against a flight of USAF B-29 bombers, simulating a Russian nuclear attack on the United ...

Were You 'Saved By The Bell'?!

Advantages: One of the best TV shows from my childhood and one I still enjoy watching now
Disadvantages: The characters are a bit predictable, as are the storylines and it's not on TV a lot anymore : (

primarily on getting the characters individual personality ? or stereotype ? across. Many of the plots found inspiration in the running theme of Zack and Slater?s constant vying for Kelly?s affections, with different episodes portraying her love, in return for either man. Not in a slutty way, just in a very indecisive, American cheerleader kind of fashion. It was perhaps my least favourite series out of them all; it didn?t really spring out as making Saved By The Bell any different to many other teenage American sitcoms, perhaps not in the way some of the later series? did. Series 2 (1990): Being the series in which Zack finally claim?s Kelly, many of the fans will regard it as their favourite. It certainly had a nice, pleasantly friendly build up to it and made sense once the writers decided what to do with poor, rejected Slater. However ...
