I have shopped at Bennetts for a number of years now and cannot fault them. I use their mail order service which is brilliant. Goods always arrive well protected from damage and in the unlikely event that an item is out of stock they will notify you which is sadly something not all companies do these days. I do hate being left wondering when I will get my missing items. With Bennetts you know.

They will send you a catalogue upon request and then provided you remain a customer they will send you out regular updates and offers throughout the year. They seem to have excellent customer relations.

I recently ordered a rod which was out of stock and was no longer made, Bennetts sent me a similar but more expensive rod as a replacement with an excellent covering letter. To say I was pleased would be an understatement.

Postage and packing are reasonable between £2.50 & £4.50 dependant upon parcel size.

You can buy everything you can think of for angling, they stock a very comprehensive range of products at very reasonable prices.

If your credit is good you can arrange 6 months interest free credit to spread the cost of your purchase, all they request is that your payments are made by Direct Debit.

A great store for the serious angler.

I have also been a customer of bennets for a period of time. Up until recently i would have agreed with everything that you have said. Unfortunately an experience just lately has put me off and in search of a much nicer mail order company. As i live near the cost in the north east of england most of my carp gear has come by mail order. I'm happy using the net and catalogues of most companies. i ordered a reel form bennets but also wanted a couple of extra spools to go with it. As they were out of stock at the time i asked then to order them but send me the reel anyway. Well its been over 2 mnths now and i haven't heard a word from them, even though i have sent several e-mails and phoned a couple of times. it seems my spools have got lost somewhere where. I have already paid for them ( which you have to do in advance anyway) so am a bit reluctant to use them again.
