Despite initial reservations about buying from a brand that was lesser known, I'm happy to report that this has lived up to expectations. The deck is as narrow as I could live with, but none of the competitiors were any wider. New model is called the T1 (same really, simpler console).
A useful feature is the handpulse, which doubles up as a bodyfat checker (you don't have to use this if you don't want!).
The console shows all of the info you would want, although at first it can be a bit confusing (manual is good though).
I had trouble finding a better specced macine for less than £400. This has a retail of £549, but can be bought for less than £400 at places like www.fithire.com or www.fitnessimpact.co.uk.
