I read time ago some good things about it in a magazine and the last autumn I purchased boots having this brand that was introduced more than 25 years ago.Today, GORE-TEX® fabric is known worldwide for extreme-weather protection that keeps you dry and comfortable from head to toe. I would like to approach to you some facts about this brand because after having Gore-Tex branded socks and shoes I became a real supporter of shoes and garments that guarantee quality. Berghaus Blues

Advantages: very comfortable, all day 3-4 season boot, all terrain, fully laden
Disadvantages: initial outlay is large but they will last for years. no half sizes

The men?s are available in black and graphite and the women?s are in graphite or midnight blue (mine are blue hence the title, my partners are black) The boots are a combination of materials: ? The uppers are water-resistant Nubuck leather (Suede) and Cordura 1100; the Nubuck leather gives a high degree of comfort as it is not as rigid when new as shiny traditional leather and the Cordura increases durability ? The lining is Gore-Tex Sierra; this liner prevents water entering yet allows moisture [such as sweat) to escape keeping feet dry and comfortable. The floating tongue is also made of Gore-Tex combined with memory foam to improve water tightness, breathability, fit and comfort ? Review of Berghaus GR20 GTX

Excellent lightweight rain jacket

Advantages: Lightweight, waterproof and windproof, easily adjustable, big pockets, stuffs down really small
Disadvantages: Some people find they overheat in it after moderate exertion.

Berghaus have been one of the most popular outdoor brands for as many years as I can remember, yet the company seems to provide kit that seems as functional on the High Street as well as up in the high country. Take their Men's Paclite Trek Jacket, for instance - ostensibly a lightweight, waterproof mountain walking jacket but which both looks and acts the part down the local shops. The Paclite Trek is available in two colours: Mazzarine Blue and Black - both have large black panels across the top of the back and shoulders, plus along the bottom quarter length. Said panels are made from an abrasion-resistant material - you're more likely to wear the shoulders a bit because of rucksack or daysack straps. Logos are confined to the usual Berghaus label on the left-hand breast and a single "Gore-Tex Paclite Shell" logo on the right hand ...
