Advantages: keeps my head and ears warm Disadvantages: none
I have a black fleece hat to keep my head and ears warm in this winter weather. It is a Power stretch Berghaus hat. I bought it from Millets . pm line you can buy ot for £10.79 from http://www.outdoorkit.co.uk
I wore this hat in the winter on the school playground it was great kept my head and ears warm. I shall wear this hat when I go for walks in the hills when it is cold; It will help keep me cozy.
This hat is made of Polartec® Power Stretch® fabric, which is extremely low bulk but has great thermal properties so it takes up little room in my pocket or back pack and does not make my head look massive. This is a stretch fabric and will fit larger heads than mine, some ladies may find it a little large but it fits my head ok, don?t think I have an especially big head.
There is room to have a small turn up brim on this hat if ...

for several days on the trot. They are suitable for most terrains and although not a mountaineers boot they are suitable for scrambling over rocks.
They are classed as a 3 to 4 season boot which indicates they are suitable for all seasons except real bad winter conditions. Increments are in full sizes only; they don?t do half sizes but the fittings are quite wide. A pair of size 36 weighs around 700g and a size 42 weighs around 850g so they aren ...
Advantages: Lightweight, waterproof and windproof, easily adjustable, big pockets, stuffs down really small Disadvantages: Some people find they overheat in it after moderate exertion.
of velcro and two push-fasteners at either end. Once fastened, it stays in place. On some jackets, moisture still gets in via the zip - not so on the Paclite Trek. Unfortunately it is not compatible with the Berghausfleeces (i.e. it doesn't zip into them unlike the Cornice jacket) - e.g. the standard 200 weight full-zip Spectrum or the full-zip 100 weight micro-fleece but that's a small price to pay. In fact, in reasonable weather a Berghaus or North Face micro-fleece and a base layer is easily enough otherwise you'll start overheating and possibly sweating very quickly - and the same goes for moderate exertion on the hills. In winter, however, I can put my Berghaus Blast down jacket (which doesn't react to water well) over my layering system and the Paclite Trek fits on top - providing a waterproof layer when conditions get really, really cold ...
