...days on the trot. They are suitable for most terrains and although not a mountaineers boot they are suitable for scrambling over rocks.
They are classed as a 3 to 4 season boot which indicates they are suitable for all seasons except real bad winter conditions. The winters we get here now are fine but heavy, prolonged freezing cold conditions would require a more specialised boot as would climbing or scrambling in icy surroundings. These boots are also very suitable for use when carrying a fully laden multi-day backpack.
The Berghaus GR20 GTXboots are available in either women’s or men’s; women’s sizes range from a 36 to a 42, men’s range from 39 to a 48. Advantages: Super tough, military specification daysack with internal frame Disadvantages: Not a lot of pockets!
...Made of 1000 denier textured nylon which is as tough as old boots, with synthetic fabric used on body contact areas.
It is fast drying, durable and very comfortable on the back. The alluminium alloy frame gives excellent support and harness rigidity to the pack.
The two buckle lid closure ensures maximum weatherproofing, plus gear can be held under the lid in good weather.
Dual density foam ensures comfort and prevents items in the pack from digging into the back, and there is a waist belt with 25mm webbing which holds the pack snugly onto the back when crossing rough terrain. There are four accessory attatchment points from which 3 bar buckles can be used to attach straps additional to the elastic strapping.
Ideal for use as a civilain or in the military!...

I am an E/F width, I have one foot sized 7 ½ and the other an 8, which is a pain, which is why I couldn't go up to the next size as the 7 ½ foot would have been too lose in a nine so I have a size 8 which is quite a good snug fit. The boot does however only go up to a size eight, but there is always men's?! The width is good for me too, however I keep the lower section of the boot loser when I tie my laces and the ankle support quite tight to secure my foot and prevent it slipping in my boot.
**********Price**********
Peter Storm is often a slightly cheaper make to other competitors like North Face, Regatta, Gore-Tex or Berghaus. These boots had an RRP of 49.99GBP, however now it is 59.99GBP. When I bought mine...
