Advantages: Make an MTB better on road Disadvantages: Can be hard to find. No good off road
...Continental have produced the Grand Prix tyre in mtb size. 26" x 1"
It has the same tread pattern as the road tyre and is very light (c.200g)
Foldable too - with a kevlar bead
I rode them on my Specialised mtb over the summer on a commute (8 miles each way) and they are superb for use on the road. It is the closest to a road bike tyre that I have ever seen, is very responsive and feels fast!
If you ride an mtb mostly on the road and can feel the energy sapping from your legs with big knobbly tyres, you could do far worse than get a pair of these!
They seem very durable too and can be inflated to decent pressures too - I ran them at close to 100 psi
They are quite rare in shops and I had to search through a few on line stores to find one that listed them and had them in stock....

Advantages: Compact, not too heavy, packs a lot in. Disadvantages: Feels bulky if filled to the brim. Price is a little high.
...I used the Tatonka Flightcase for a short trip to Amsterdam and found it really good for what I needed it for. I was on my trip for three days and had more than enough space in the pack for clothes, washbag and other sundries. The capacity of the pack is 40L which may not be ideal for long trips but for trips that last one or two weeks I dont think you'd have a problem. The obvious advantage is that the pack fits in hand luggage and it does with no trouble at all.
I didn't really have any problem with the pack but I would say that it did feel a little bulky sometimes even though it's not that big. It is also quite pricey although I have seen it getting cheaper on certain sites. I paid £60 for the pack. Other than that, it was more or less perfect and many people were amazed at just how much it held. Definately going to be using for my...

Advantages: gives easy control over degree of exercise, gives results, mains or battery operated Disadvantages: main unit is slightly bulky
...Over the past few years, I have experimented with many different forms of electronic muscle toners. These have ranged from sticky pads to ones that require special toning lotion.
The Bodi tek sports pro is good, as all you need is water to moisten the felt toning pads. The amount of control that you have over whether you tone one muscle group or more is superb. The pack comes with four pairs of large pads, and two pairs of smaller ones. There are adjustable straps to hold the pads in place and make the unit suitable for almost anyone.
What I like most about the whole unit , is that it is portable , in its own well designed travel pack. The results I have gained over the last two weeks since using the toner, have far exceeded any of my previous ettempts. within the pack comes a laminated card showing how to apply the pads to all...

I was expecting a lot more from this mascara. Although it does make your eyelashes stand out more I found that it could be a bit clumpy. When I first took it from the tube I was surprised to find that bits stuck in clumps around the brush.
I have also... more
Just lately, with two small children at home, we haven't been getting out much (ahhh!) so have been doing much more entertaining at home. We often find, when having friends round for the evening, that it's good fun to finish up with a game, which is why... more
