ALIENS TARGETING EARTH AS USUAL
I would say that the idea of some evil aliens attacking Earth is not always the better thing to think about while making a game. Advantages: Mega playable Disadvantages: Its a tad old these days
Quake. It's a classic. It might be old but its still more than playable.
It was one of the very 1st First Person Shooters & set a lot of standards that many companies followed & tried to improve upon.
Your basic mission is to stop the force of Shub-Niggrath & his underworld cohorts. Kill em, avoid em, whatever you choose to do just make sure you get through the series of 4 realms, claiming the rune in each realm to open the final portal to allow you to battle with the big guy himself.
You will battle rottweilers, Ogres, Shamblers, Fiends & many more creatures that are intent on kicking the holy cadgel out of you to stop you getting the runes.
The great thing is it'll run on pretty much ANY pc as it was written to look good on any spec machine back when games designer cared enough to write games for everyone, not just everyone ...

Quake is an FPS game originally released on the PC and ported to the Sega Saturn by Lobotomy. The game takes place in four different worlds each wit htheir own theme, enemies and secrets. In this review I will be covering the games aspects such as the game-play, music, graphics and more, just like in my other reviews.
Story
There's not really much of story for Quake but here's what it is.
You play as some soldier and an enemy codenamed quake is attacking your bases through slipgates (teleporters in Quake).
Being the bad ass you are you go do destroy it and bring peace back to earth.
Fairly basic and clich'e but this game doesn't need a story. If you play it you'll know why.
