Getting there is one thing, finding what you want is another. Being a large packed-flat item, means that you have to locate it in the gloomy valley floors amongst canyons of warehouse racking, not unlike a distant cargo bay of Red Dwarf. A visit to the service desk is an immediate 'must do'. Armed with my Post-It that the nice lady wrote down for me, I found it. This place needs sat-nav so that men don?t have to ask the way.
B***** me, it's big, and in three boxes too. The two smaller are, ironically the heaviest, whilst the biggest is the lightest. Has anyone working for IKEA ever tried sliding something long and heavy onto a trolley with no brakes? I doubt it. In the end I had to ram the far side of the ?canyon? so ...

of service, and the price. I do not usually like these type of shops, but I was pleasantly surprised. I left very happy. The only thing I would say, is that it can be hard to lift some items, and this bookcase was heavy. Although I did not need to, I am sure the staff would help if required. Also boxes are quite big, so check they will fit in your car first!
I got home, and started to build the bookcase, straight away. It was packed tightly, and securely. Everything was in the box, and the instructions were very clear. The colour we chose was black/brown, but you could have got white or beech. The material was a kind of MDF style affair, called particle board. Cheap to produce, but quite strong.
