Giro Atmos 2006 Cycling Helmet

Advantages: Lightweight & looks great ! Lance wears one !

Having had Giro helmets for a while, and my Helios hat being about 5 years old, I decided to buy a new hat a few months ago. I've worn it sevaral times a week for a while now, so thought I'd let you know about it ! The current advice on changing your bicycle helmet is to replace it after 5 years or so, even if it hasn't been involved in a crash, since pollution, UV light and weathering can apparently weaken its component parts over time. The Giro Monza helmet ranges in price from anywhere btween £50 and £70 at the time of this review. I paid £80 for mine a few months ago. I don't regret one penny of it as a helmet is invaluable, in my opinion, when cycling (my previous one ended up in 3 pieces when I landed headfirst on a roadside rock).
