Shimano SPD M072 Cycle Shoe to infinity and beyond
Review of Shimano MO72 by skrg28

Advantages: Strong, well made, functional
Disadvantages: Nothing yet.

SPD INTRO Shimano M072 shoes are SPD cycling shoes so here's a quick explanation of what SPD is. For those who may not know SPD stands for Shimano Pedaling Dynamic. All very nice I hear you say, so to explain they are Clipless pedals. Basically you get a pair of shoes, bolt on some clips to the shoes, get a pair of SPD pedals which are like a clamp, step on the pedals and your feet are locked to the pedals. Rotating your feet to the side then releases ...
...GENERAL Shimano mountain bike shoes have been around for a number of years now and in my opinion if you are a user of SPD pedals then you can't beat Shimano PSD shoes for reliability. I have used number if different types over the years, most of which I cant remember the name off and ones that usually found the bucket because they broke before their time. Overal lthey are a well made and finished shoe, no loose stitching and no bad cuts to the materials. ... Read review

If the shoe fits wear it.
Review of Shimano R121 by fun2night4us

Advantages: Compatable for LOOK, SPD and TIME cleats
Disadvantages: Only one color scheme

The Shimano R121 shoe is a very durable and reliable shoe. It is compatable to 3 different cleats: Look, SPD and Time, which makes it very versitale for those of us with more than one bike with different pedals. Although it is almost not worth the trouble of changing cleats, as it is much easier just to buy new shoes instead of removing one cleat and re-installing the other and making all the required adjustments. I have now had this pair of shoes ...
...my Lake shoes to the Shimano shoes I noticed a tremendous amount of added comfort. The soft inner-lining makes the wear on the achillies and ankles minimul while still having the hard rigid sole to allow for maximum force applied to the pedals, and its mesh top allows for nice breathability of the foot. Although this shoe is not the lightest shoe in its class and it does only come in a blue and yellow color scheme I would recommend it to any recreational ... Read review

shimano M035
Review of Shimano SH-M035 by Bairsty

Advantages: cheap
Disadvantages: funny sizing

...the lower end of the shimano range but offers great value for money when picked up on - line at end of season sales. Tough suede and rubber shell with cambrelle lining makes for a comfortable shoe, both laces and velcro strap offer adequete fastenings and it looks pretty good, a stiff sole allows fairly comfortable walking when needed. Sizing can be a problem due to the ridiclues small system that cycle shoes go by. Its a narrow shoe so make sure ... Read review

Funky foot wear!
Review of Shimano Off-Road Pro Competition Shoe by Eatcha

Advantages: Structually solid
Disadvantages: maybe a bit cold for long wet rides

When you were little your mum used to take you to the shoe shop and as she chose those very sensible shoes you’d be looking at the window were the biggest most ‘cool’ pair of shoes you’d ever seen lived. But your mum would always say ‘they are not good shoes little eatcha’ they are only for people with too much money. You’d swear blind they were good and that you’d care for them for ever !!! (yeh right, were is that football!) Well now ...
...looks, and you can play football in them too !.! LoL. “Why” your mum says what a waste, you could have bought something so much more useful like that sweat carry case so when you hit 15 you’d look like a blimp. “and I bet they don’t support your feet properly”. Well lets get serious, strong support to start with don’t pull too hard you still want circulation to those ‘tutsies’. Rock solid base perfect foot positing to get you toes just over ... Read review

Breaking the rules
Review of Shimano Shimano M110 by Eatcha

Advantages: Your a pro if you wear these v. strong good mud clearance, breathable, (look good!)
Disadvantages: Expensive - and you can't realy walk far in them.

Wear them if you dare, they may improve your cycling that much you leave your friends behind. If you can afford the price get a set. Light shoes you can feel the pedals well. I don’t think I ride with the recommended shoe but I don’t think it matters anyway, I prefer my pedals (the look ) more than anything. Always buy a strong base when you buy any SPD shoe if the guy (or gal) tells you to buy a shoe that when you pick up is bendable in the middle, ...
...good power transfer. If your just starting you maybe tempted to stick with a soft shoe after all that’s what you’ve been riding in for years anyway. Challenge your self you wont be disappointed the shoes will last longer and give your feet more protection. “Now why did he say you can feel your pedals in these shoes (if there meant to be so rigid)”. Well simply if you don’t know if your “feet are in” the pedal, which is the case when there’s a lot ... Read review
