I have two ponies, both of whom wear a pair of Bioflow Brushing Boots.
I initially purchased a pair for my 18 year old Welsh Cob, who suffers from arthritis in her fetlocks.
When the boots arrived, they came in a handy drawstring bag, which I use to wash them in (they go in the washing machine). They also had an instruction booklet with details of how long they can be worn for and how to clean them. They only come in one colour- black, but I think this is the most practical anyway. The styling is not the most modern, but it is practical and they do look good.
The boots are very sturdy. I opted for the brushing boots as my ponies live out and I thought these would be more practical. They have very strong velcro straps and my ponies, both of whom are very good at removing boots have not managed to lose them at all! They fit very well and can be easily adjusted so you can get a good fit on different size horses (I have pony size, they are also available in horse size).
The boots feature Bioflow's patented Central Reverse Polarity Magnets, which are meant to be beneficial for various ailments. My ponies wear their boots overnight. The pony with arthritis has really improved since wearing them, she is now a lot less stiff and can pick her feet up (for picking feet out etc) much easier then she could before.
My other pony wears them as a preventative, he is prone to laminitis and has not suffered an attack since he started wearing the boots (although we do manage his feed very carefully).
The boots last extremely well. They still look like new after nearly a year of nightly use. I just pop them in the washing machine in the draw string bag they came in occasionally to get them clean and they come out looking like new again! The edges have not frayed, the only giveaway that they have been worn is that some of the Bioflow lettering is wearing off (they are branded 'Bioflow' across the velcro straps)
I would throroughly recommend them. Even if you are not interested in the magnetic effects, they are still a very good sturdy brushing boot. I have definately found the magnets of benefit and I think they are one of the best investments I have made for my ponies welfare.
Advantages: Increased Blood Flow Disadvantages: A Little Expensive
...to the help team at Bioflow who answered my questions enthusiastically as i was quite skeptical about magnetic boots for a start. I wondered whether they did actually help or whether it was just an imaginary thing.
I opted to go for the wraps, as my primary time of use was going to be when the horse was in her stable through the night. The brushing boots seem to have a tough strike pad which i felt may not be as good for in the stable and i also ... ...in back and have the Bioflow brand stamped onto the velcro straps. They are fully washable and i have been told by the people at Bioflow that they come with a lifetime guarentee. They only loose a slight fraction of their magnatism over a year. This to me is a great feature as you are safe in the knowledge that they are going to last. Bioflow are so confident about their product that they actually told me that should my wraps become tatty and torn ...

Advantages: puts a new lease of life back in my horses Disadvantages: no negative to report
I think they are a great product. I have used them for various reason. My mare damaged her ligaments and I found they were very helpful to increase the blood supply and helping the ligaments to heal. I have also used them on a horse that has quite a few problems with his lower legs and on Bute daily. I find them very easy to use, they are robust and hard wearing and easy to keep clean by sponging down after use. I turn my horses out in them as well ...
