How to introduce this album? I guess since nobody will have heard of the band, I'll just jump straight in without one? SuperPro is the first full-length album by Glaswegian outfit The Hussys. It's been a long time coming (the band have been together in various forms for over 4 years), and after a slow build up, it's finally here. It is a CD that will surprise some with its balance and range of songs, and one that is worth a listen if you are looking for something new and refreshing.
One of the first things you notice when you put this on, is that there is a mixture of genres, from pop and country (with a slide guitar, and what sounds like a mandolin) through to straightforward rock, and a mixture of tempos. One song even seems to take inspiration from Hey Mickey.
