Advantages: Quicker, easier and no aching back! Disadvantages: Takes up more room than an iron
I was in need of a new iron. Not something for which I really wanted to shop as I had been perfectly satisfied with the one I had. The problem was that the cable had become rather worn and I was beginning to feel that it was dangerous. Apart from this I was never comfortable with the ironing board and consequently the ironing became a chore to be put off as long as possible!
In fact, not ALL of the ironing was a chore - some I quite enjoyed - some got put back time and again until desperation set in and I HAD to get it done. This was usually bed-linen. Whilst I realise that a lot of people don't bother ironing bed-linen these days, I was brought up to expect smooth well ironed sheets so they HAD to be ironed!

Advantages: Quite funny and insightful, pretty good characters, inventice Disadvantages: The Discworld concept just doesn't work as well in a sci-fi setting, Pratchett's writing style not fully developed at this stage
We all know Terry Pratchett as the creator of the Discworld series (or if you don't, it's about time you did). But Strata is an early exploration of that idea and, while I don't think it's up to the standard of the majority of the Discworld novels, it's still good and is basically required reading for Pratchett fans.
The story centres around Kin Arad, a woman over 200 years old (surgical techniques are pretty advanced and people are paid by The Company in "days" rather than cash), who works for the afore-mentioned "Company". This organisation creates planets - they take a likely looking asteroid and terraform it into a living breathing planet, but they also add history - fossils and so on - for the new inhabitants of the planet to find so that they establish a proper identity for themselves. Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs has got to be one of my favourite beauty products of all time, and I am actually surprised that it has taken this long to write a review about it.
~About the product~
This is a product designed to spray onto your legs to give an airbrushed finish. It will cover imperfections, veins and scars, and add a subtle hint of colour. It contains vitamin K, and is weightless and optically slimming.
The product is available in four shades- light glow, medium glow, tan glow and deep glow. One thing to note though, this is not a fake tan, it is simply make-up for the legs, although if you're very pale like me, you might find that even the lightest shade gives you a hint of colour.
