Body Geometry Comfort

Advantages: Solid performance, cheap price, great build quality, not yellow.
Disadvantages: Should be called Drake GT? Ciao, do your research! ;-)

...I have ridden with bindings from Burton and Sims, as well as borrowing boards and bindings from a number of mates, but since 2001 I have owned a pair of Drake F60s (drakes top-of-the-range model) which they have not only provided me with a great connection to the board, but they have lasted through 2 boards and upwards of 300 days on the slopes. They are still going strong, and so when it came to kitting out my girlfriend there was only one place to start looking. Drakes "entry level" binding. The design of these is identical to my old F60's, not surprisingly as this geometry has been proven by a wide selection of pro's over the years and... it works! The materials I guess have been downgraded, with plastic substituted for metal in some areas, but I have no worries with that, as technology has improved to the extent that the plastics... Advantages: Aluminium Frame, Good gear set, looks ace!
Disadvantages: no rear suspension

...This bike has got fantastic geometry and is therefor a very comfortable ride. The tripple triange frame is very solid and the bike goes where you point it. When i bought the bike it came with 27 gears, cable disc brakes,(which will soon be upgraded), and some decent shocks. So far i love it!! the bike looks ace too. What a visually pleaseing piece of design. Great bike to upgrade. Starting components are reasonable as u get what u pay for, in this case a great frame and some slightly shady parts. Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with the components if u r an occasional MTBer but if u go offroad lots you'll need stronger components which can handle rougher stuff than the RST's it comes with as standard.... Advantages: Great sturdy all round XC mountain bike. Sheer exhilarating fun.

...I bought the 2007 model at the end of 2007 - paid £730. I love this bike. It is so flexible. The frame is excellent, very strong and has great geometry. I'm 5'10" and I bought the medium frame. It is great for down hills and XC as the name suggests. It's well built, well balanced and comfortable to ride. The gears are well chosen, I have not found that I needed a wider range. Changing gear could be better, replace the LX with the Shimano XT and renew the cables when you smash the old deraillers. I would also change the tires. Traction is lacking on the ones provided and they clog with mud quite quickly. Watch the wheel bearings, they are individual bearings with cones, but are fine when kept clean and well greased.
