Bodymax Compact Fitness Trainer Multigym is a great compact gym for those that are restricted for space. Comes with Lat Pulldown, Dual function chest press arms that can accomodate... more...pec fly, low pulley, leg extension and leg curl.
Advantages: Does keep you fit, endorsed by the government Disadvantages: Limited to their workouts doesn't allow you to do your own
Wii Fit takes exercise to a new level with the inclusion of a balance board and allows exercise to be fun as it's incorporated into a game. I'd recommend this to people who are perhaps a bit shy to go to the gym or aerobics classes etc. It is even been recently endorsed by several medical associations. Unfortunately, Wii Fit does have some problems with not being able to create your own workouts from the available exercises, which does limit its effectiveness both as a fitness tool and as a game.
I conclude that if you are looking at keeping fit on a serious level then either get a multi-gym or join a gym, but if you prefer a bit of fun on a less serious level, then Wii fit is definitely the choice for you ...

After this initial set up - whenever you want to use the program you just move the Wii balance board in front of the television, press ...

ONE LEG TEST*: In this test you have to stand on one leg and stay as still as possible.
*These tests do not have the correct name.
After you have completed two tests, it presents to you your very own Wii Fit age. (It's like Brain Training). It uses your real age to compare it to your results. If its over your real age, your body is weaker than it should be whereas if its your real age or below your body is stronger than it should be. You have an optional choice to take the Body Test everyday. It is best if you do. When you finish the Body Test you can get on with Training. But before you do, you can chose your own trainer. You can chose between a Male of Female trainer. Then that would be your trainer for all Yoga and Muscle Workouts. And one last thing, right before you can do any training ...
