If you would like to add a bit of a kick to your pitta bread, sandwiches, rice cakes, crispbreads, crudities etc. then look no further than the Tesco Jalapeno Houmous Dip. Being an avid lover of houmous I am always on the look out for new and exciting flavours to try.
Houmous is a very healthy food product originating from the Middle East. It is very high in protein, potassium, fibre, vitamin E and antioxidants. Consisting mainly of chickpeas and tahini (a sesame seed paste) these ingredients are crushed and blended to make a spread or dip and then flavoured using garlic and lemon juice. Nowadays there are many different variations of houmous but all derive from the original ingredients.

KP chocolate dips are a snack aimed at children. They contain biscuit sticks and a chocolate orange flavour dip. The idea is that you dip the biscuits in the chocolate orange flavour dip. The packaging describes them as ?biscuit sticks with chocolate and orange flavour dip.?
Packaging
They come in a small plastic pot similar to a yoghurt pot. They have a peel back lid, which is sometimes difficult to remove. When you open it up, the pot is split into two sections. A small sort of tray containing the chocolate orange and a larger section which contains little biscuit sticks. The cartons hold 32g and there are approximately 12 biscuit sticks in each pot.
Price
I bought these from the food weighouse and they cost 28p each or 4 for £1.

Advantages: A walk down memory lane. Disadvantages: Very high sugar content (obviously).
As with many of my reviews my children seem to be the inspiration behind them, this is no different, although I do feel a little nostalgia as I'm writing it.
When I was a child there seemed to be the most incredible array of sweets available to us, all as sumptuous and alluring as the one before, the product I will now review is no exception.
The product in question is Trebours "DIP DAB".

These are packed in exactly the same packaging that I remember from my childhood.
It comes in the very distinct bright yellow paper bag, with the name of the brand written across it in vivid red writing, beneath that lies a tumultuous sea of white sherbet flowing across the pack with the enclosed red lolly pop half immersed in the afore mention sherbet.
