BrandX were a collection of session artists and Phil Collins, they formed in the 1970's to make music which they enjoyed and which would not stick to the A&R idea of what should be put onto vinyl. They ended up making several albums of jazz/rock of which "Product" is by far the best.
The majority of tracks are instrumental, of these "Wal to Wal" and "and so to F" and the most sublime. Jazz to make the listen again and again.
The 2 song, of which Phil is vocalist are "Soho" and "Don't make waves". If you like Phil's solo (none ballad) stuff you'll love these.
The one weak track on the whole album is "April", it sound like a filler, but if you ignore this and are curious to hear what BrandX were all about then this album is the one to try out. ...
