I bought one of these things about 12 months ago to do a specific job.
I have always been something of a fitness fanatic, but always liked a couple of beers or so when finishing work at nights.
In june of 2006 i decided it was time to work on my 16 stone body and reduce not only weight but also to burn off excess fat.
I used the eliptcal machine alongside other methods of training.

These things always seem a little on the gimmic side, but it does give you a figure to aim at each time one uses the machine.
It will also tell you how many KM you have done as well as the speed at which you are going.

The machine comes complete with heart rate monitor and pulse cmonitor as well as the amount of calories burned.

With this machine i have lost around the 5 stone mark, and this helped me gain second place in the Nimble, Fatty to Fitty comp last month. For my efforts i was featured with the other runner up and winner in Love It magazine.I didnt losse all the pounds on this machine alone, as i watched what i was eating and also run every day as well, but it is a great piece of kist to use as an alternative once getting in from work.
But beware.....these things are quite domesticated and the magnets can slip, to be honest i am on my second one already.
On the whole, these are a great fat burner, but dont start off like a bull in a china shop or you will get bored.
20 mins a day whilst watching tv or listening to a cd and then increasing to around an hour, three times a week.
Stick at it guys, and this machine will do the business, start missing the odd day and it will gather dust.
