Bridge Rosettes was started in Sowerby Bridge, West Yorkshire and is primarily a family concern. Whilst we originally concentrated on the manufacture of rosettes in August 2002 we took over a trophy retailing and engraving centre. As a result we can now supply rosettes, sashes, medals, trophies and signage. Our "in-house" capabilities mean we are not reliant on others.
Advantages: Excelent prompt service, good value and quality. Take small orgainzersseriously Disadvantages: I have not had reason to use them for some time, and things may change
...I used this company to order rosettes for several photo shows and one village gymkhana, and the reason I haven't used them for a couple of years now is because I stopped running shows, not because I was in any way dissatisfied with their work.
I first spotted their details in the back of one of the magazines, and requested a catalogue, at the same time as several other firms. I do remember that several companies didn't even get in touch, and several more had very large minimum order requirements. Dartmoor however was prompt, helpful, and happy to acknowledge that small shows and amateur organisers can take their Big Day as seriously as any major event!
When I first started out organising I was still in school, and on a tight budget, so my first orders were small (1st - 4th in say 8 classes, plus a 'runners up class' and BIS...

Advantages: Drastically reduces time to tidy manes and tails, painless. Disadvantages: None.
...I have horses and they don`t like their manes and tails being pulled (hairs removed to thin and tidy). I usually leave the tails full but I came accross this ingenious tool the other day designed to thin the mane and tail. The one that I am reviewing is the tail thinner but I have also used it on the mane and it only takes minutes to thin the whole mane.
I have a 3 year old gelding with a thick tail. I bought him when he was 2 and a half and he was 15.2hh. He is now 3 and a quarter and 16.1hh so I think he is going to be big. I have had success showing him in hand (you are not allowed to ride them at shows until they are 4) and up until now I have plaited the tail. I even received a rosette the other day for the best plaited tail. After coming accross the mane and tail trimmer, I decided to tidy up his tail.
Plait or Pull...

Advantages: Really exhillarating, lots of fun, different scenarios and safe, great for groups Disadvantages: Paintballs are VERY expensive and you use them up to easily
...Paintballing is very fun! Delta Force is very good!
Delta force give you all the equipment when you enter; overalls, full head masks, hoppers (to store paintballs) but they don't give you the actual gun until you are in THE ZONE.
My friends and I have been going to delta force for the past three years and they have never let us down. They provide you with all the safety gear and give you a briefing.
When you first enter THE ZONE they give you your gun and give you a brief description of the scenario. All the scenarios are amazing with bridges, barracades and even castles and tanks in some. Its so fun to play even if you do get hit !! The one problem probably is being trigger happy. You realize your out of the ever so expensive paintballs in the second out of 12 zones.
IF I WERE YOU I WOULD GO IT MAY BE PAINFUL AT TIMES FOR YOU...

Alter Bridge's first album, the phenomenal 'One Day Remains', will go down in history as one of my favourite debut albums. The extremely bold mix of beautiful, heart felt lyrics and fabulous, hard hitting drum beats with screeching guitar riffs really... more
