In the 'Buff' - with Bear Models!

Advantages: Excellent functionality
Disadvantages: Only for those who don't mind looking silly

Since joining ciao and posting my 'about me' photo I've had a number of comments - most of them fairly rude - about the hat I am wearing in the picture. I've now been warned by another ciaoster that if I don't write about my hat, he will and it seems likely to be safer if I do it myself. So I'm using this as a piece of self-indulgence involving two of my favourite things - hats and bears. The hat in question is what's known as a 'Buff'. I'm currently having a bit of a crisis because I can't find the black one but it will probably turn up before my holiday. If it's hot a Buff stops me burning my head, if it's cold it keeps me warm. But that's just putting things too simply - there's a lot more to a Buff than that. Stylish ...

Fugitive

Advantages: Harrison Ford at his best.
Disadvantages: Not original.

This film has two major problems, it is at times rather derivative and of course it is a re-make/spin off from a television series from the 1960\'s which instantly makes it more difficult to stand out because you are well aware that it lacks originality of its own. Problems aside.. Harrison Ford comes up with a near perfect performance as Dr Kimble, a surgeon wrongly accused of his wifes murder and becoming a rather unlikely fugitive of the law, hotly chased by US Marshal, Samuel Gerard played by Tommy Lee Jones. This thriller is played out at an exhilirating pace and is filled with twists and turns to keep you watching again and again. The DVD itself is unspectacular, but if you are simply focussed on the film itself, then you will struggle to find a better thriller from the 1990's. One of Fords best. ...
