Rockstar TableTennis is an example of a game done to near perfection. I bought this game as a newcomer to sporting games and immediately got hooked.
Gameplay:
OK, it's tabletennis so you kind of know what to expect, but that doesn't mean there's not a lot to do. First of all I'd like to say that this game plays extremely fast and there really is never a dull moment. A lot of sporting games tend to put in plenty of animations and mini film clips but you have the capability to skip these and get right back to the action. You can play in tournaments, quick matches or against friends or random people of a similar skill on xbox live. The majority of gameplay involves trying to counter shots from your opponent as best you can, whereby redirecting spin on the ball to put them in an awkward position wins the points. This is a fun, playable product, which for around £15 is good value. The graphics are brilliant and will soon become addicted by the sounds of the bats & balls. The online play is okay, not the best, there isn't a lot of variation. However the campaign is fun and enjoyable, I wouldn't expect this to be your best 360 game but a worthwhile purchase. There are around four tournaments at different difficulties, nineteen enviroments, about ten characters with varied outfits and more... It is claimed that it is close to immitating real life simulation, I slightly agree with this, although I wouldn't rate it too highly. I think others will enjoy this more than others, for instance, players that favour shooters, may find TableTennis slightly lame and boring and so, for more action seeking people, i advise you not to buy this, but for a quick go ...

A very fun game to play, i know this game was expensive when it was first released but now its can normally be picked up second hand for about £6-15 or new from £15 - 20. This game is very addictive, the idea that a tabletennis game is fun could be seen as ludicrus but this game proves that it can be done. There are about 8 playable characters pepresenting different countries in the world, each character has their own way of serving and their own individual play style. The game is very repettative at times but achievements are unlocked throught making this a worthwile game to play.
