...of the bat rather than an equal one, this would lead to alot of edges and miss timed shots. if you play enough cricket you know the importance of timing a ball correctley especially on the front foot. i have actually had two of these CA white gold bats, the first one i learnt that because i decided to use it straight out of the box for a match its didnt do me any favours. i was under the impression that it would already be knocked in as i payed £180 for it. as i played without it being knocked in it sent many painful vibrations through my arms whether faceing spin bowling or medium pace. and in its very first game it start to crack and eventually it completely broke in net practice after 1month. i was extremeley unhappy that it had broken and swore not to buy the same one again but when it came down to choosing a new bat i couldnt find... Advantages: Full customised, excellent quality bats, excellent service.

...The Fusion Super Best is without doubt the best cricket bat I have ever used, accompanied with the best service available on the market. Fusion are a small company, who hand make all of their bats from the finest English Willow. They are one of the only companies who use Grade 1+ willow for their top of the range bat, which is usually only reserved for professionals. Fusion will customise ever single aspect of your bat, and you can even try out the bat at their indoor nets. Unfortunately I was unable to try this, but I have heard that the facilities are top quality. Their aftersales services are second to none, and there is not a single aspect of the bat which has not been excellent. Whywaste your money on large manufacturers, when you can get a better quality bat for a lower price and a truely enjoyable experience.... Read review

...As it is now coming up to the new cricket season, I was in desperate need of a new bat, a good new bat unlike my previous few. I opoted for the Slazenger V600 Select (same model as Mark Butcher, England and surrey uses, but obviously a better bat), it was £94 from www.cricket-hockey.com, (RRP £120) with free P&P within 5 working days. The bat is made from grade three English willow, and with cricket-hockey, it came pre-knocked in (saves sitting there with a mallet for nine hours), and also with a toe gaurd, so you don't much up the bottom of the bat while using it. Although it came pre-knocked in, I would advise more knocking in to get the best perormance, and save it getting cracked in it's early stages of life. The new design for 2004, has made this bat designed with a maroon grip (handle), and a maroon patter on back and front... Read review
