Advantages: Very Very forgiving/ideal for an improving player Disadvantages: None to speak of,maybe the lack of a 3 iron
is plain to see and feel. The weight of the club is significantly different to my older spalding set.
Good bits
I like the idea of the 10 iron in place of the 3 and I now use it more than the wedge. Apart from the distance stuff i have massively improved around the green with a real feel through the club, granted the lessons are helping but I am convinced that the clubs are playing a big part. I would not hesitate to recommend these, very expensive new but at £180 second hand a real bargain. As a 'New' beginner I thought a decent set of clubs would'nt make much difference but I was way off the mark they have really helped. I reckon I'm looking at at least 6 to 7 shots off my round and the 90 mark is very close now for me. ...

exactly where on the club face the ball makes contact mean that shots are, in theory, longer and straighter.
I think a very god golfer may notice more subtle differences, I can only say that my shots are a little longer and more controlled with most of the irons - though the pitching and sand wedges seem particularly good.
There are two downsides to these clubs;
1) When purchased new they seem relatively expensive - a price worth paying if you are a superb golfer perhaps, but for someone who simply dabbles then the money could be better spent elsewhere. However, I have noticed a number of sets of these clubs that are significantly cheaper when second hand - golf clubs are extremely volatile in this way, they seem to drift out of fashion very quickly.
2) I find that having these clubs removes an excuse for playing badly - while this ...

As some Callaway products can be pricey, I decided to go for the BigBertha Balls (Red for distance) which seem to be a little more reasonable than some of the other Callaway Balls. Cost me £17.99 for a dozen.
Although they weren't miracle makers, my distance has definitely improved - reckon they go a good 10 yards further which is a big thing for me! I will definitely continue to use this type of ball and would recomment it to others also! ...
