Advantages: Warm and good price Disadvantages: Bulky and heavy
...I bought this as i needed a warm winter sleeping bag for some out of car camping and it is ideal. It is basically a duvet with a nylon outercoating.
I am a very warm person and can often use the extreame guidence as my comfort zone regarding the temperature. Recently I was camping in the peak distict (middle of Novemeber) the temperature went down to -4c and I was as warm as toast. I have lent it to friends of mine who hs started to get cold at around freezing, which is probably a more realistic value for the bag.
It is very comfortable inside, you cannot feel any seams or the zip, the hood fits nicely over you head without blocking your face and generally has a lot of room inside (im 6'1 and 16 stone). It has a nice soft feel inside and a general feeling of quality
I do a lot of backpacking type camping all over the country...

Advantages: Robust and light Disadvantages: Availability and the screw lid can become stiff
...In times gone by, I used to work in a shop that sold a lot of camping equipment. It was only a matter of time before the camping bug bit me. Having the advantage of reports of equipment used by customers gave me the opportunity to make sure I had the best kit for what I needed.

Bottled Gas - This is usually Butane gas stored in a pressurised container.
Liquid Fuels - Normally Methylated...

Advantages: It goes where you want to go. Disadvantages: None.
...the fresh water goes.
With this you can also add a different chemical, similar to the various loo blocks, but in liquid form, that produce quite a pleasant perfumed odour whilst keeping the bowl clean.
Even emptying is kept simple with a large screw in cover, and a flush hole.
Aside from the fact that they are cheap and portable, they are really handy to have around. Ours was invaluable at a recent party we had, and kept the que to a minimum.
But as with any loo you need privacy. Our answer was a toilet tent that can be erected in 5 minutes, literally. They are very easy to acquire and also cheap, priced at about £12.99 and upwards from any good camping/fishing retailer.
It may be an unusual subject to write an op on, but where would you be without one on your fishing trip or weekend away. I never realised just how useful they could be until...
