The best for storing camping fuels
Advantages: Robust and light Disadvantages: Availability and the screw lid can become stiff
...container, this is where the Optimus Fuel bottles come into their own.
What are they like?
Optimus make these to work with their own range of cookers, however they really are the best on the market for storing fuels for all types of liquid burning stoves.
They come in three sizes 0.4 litre, 0.6 litre and one litre.
The man body is in one solid piece of aluminium, once you feel one you will realise just how strong they are, because they are made ... ...only weighs 159gms and that is including the cap. The cap itself is made of solid plastic and comes complete with a rubber washer to make sure of an airtight seal. The top of the cap has a ring that is big enough to get a finger through, this makes it ideal to use if you wanted to strap the bottle to the outside of a rucksack (I have done this on more than one occasion, without any problem).
The overall dimensions of the one litre bottle are Height ...

Campingaz the perfect camping accessory.
Advantages: Lightweight and compact Disadvantages: None
I think that this product is very easy to set up and use, it is very compact but also very sturdy at the same time.
The two rings are better than one, e.g. one for kettle and the other for pot or pan and in my opinion the gas lasts for a while on this product.
I have really made home made curry on this for 6 people on this little gem.
In my opinion the four short dumpy legs on this product make for good balance and stability when cooking.

What - No kettle?
Advantages: Cheap, great heat conductor, light weight, great stackable system Disadvantages: Gets too hot too quickly and difficult to handle
Why a specific camping cooking kit?
As most of you are probably aware when camping it is imperative to travel light and use things that take up little space. When I go camping I try and eat out as much as possible, after all you are on holiday right?, but there are nights when I just can’t be bothered to venture out, especially after a busy day cycling, rambling or just milling about a town somewhere. Despite not having the get and go to get ... ...there’s breakfast, the most important meal of the day according to some, and whilst cereal suffices at home the lack of a fridge, and hence milk, in a tent means that tinned foods are the order of the day, and whilst I do like baked beans and spaghetti straight out of the tin there are some tinned items that need to be heated up.
However much I dislike cooking whilst camping it is a necessity and it is important to have the right kit. Camping gaz ...

Recently bought one of these for use on a camping holiday to Holland. Its currently on sale at amazon.co.uk for £35. Its on special offer saving you £4.99 of the rrp and comes with its own carry case. The product weighs about 1kg is easily packed away for storage with your camping equipment. The whole sets packs to 26 x 12 cm area. The set is a stylish black colour with a very professional look about it. The set comes with everything you need to ... ...following pots and pans: 2 lids diameter 19 cm and 17 cm 3 pots diameter 18 cm, 16 cm and 14 cm 1 pan diameter 18 cm 1 universal handle Thats plenty for one or two persons cooking, though we managed to cook for four people. I was able to cook a good range of food as the camp site had a local shop so it wasnt a case of just boiling something in a pan. I was able to cook eggs, bacon, sausages and burgers in the pan easily. Id recommand this product ...

Toasties Anyone?!
Advantages: Works really well, lightweight and easy to set up. Disadvantages: The grill is a disappointment.
...deal, we settled on the Campingaz Camping Chef stove found at Amazon.
With a price tag wavering between £40.00 and £60.00 at most online shops, and coming in even more expensive in high street shops, I was amazed and well chuffed to come across the stove on special at Amazon for only £25.95! With one week left to go until payday, I crossed my fingers hoping that I wouldn’t miss the sale… alas, when payday came along, the stove had gone up to £49.95! ... ...the toasting capabilities of the Campingaz stove. At that point, with the macaroni being heated in a small pot on one burner, the kettle using up the other burner in order to boil water, I was just about to slide the grill into position when my husband stopped me; “The instructions say you can’t use the grill and stove burners at the same time.” Hmmm… dilemma… okay, I figured I’d heat up the macaroni, boil the water and then grill the toast… after ...
