Hand Savers
Review of Slazenger Select Test Gloves by
Barthezz
Advantages: Comfortable, good protection
Disadvantages: Not very stylish
...Well there ain't much to write about cricket gloves but here goes!
These gloves were given to me by my friend who retired from cricket near the start of the season. He had only used them once so I was grateful to receive.
The gloves are very comfortable when holding a bat which is what you expect. The protection is pretty good as I found out to my disadvantage when i was hit on my thumb in the last game of the season just gone. Although it hurt QUITE A BIT, there wasn't any lasting damage other than a bruise :-)
The style comprises of box structure fingers, a thin layer on the palm with air holes to prevent excessive sweating (not much use when facing the likes of Darren Gough etc.)
The velcro strap on the wrist is very wide making it difficult to fall off during a match as my old Gunn and Moore gloves.
Overall, a good glove...

Review of Lotto Neo-Concept Gloves by
kingchris
Advantages: Fantastic comfort, great value, great gloves!!!
Disadvantages: Not many, they may wear down after a while
...are black in colour, (take a look at the pictures, you will be able to see the black parts on the gloves, this is neoprene). They are placed there to keep the main parts of your hands warm, because as many sports doctors will tell you, all joints and bones are more prone to breaks and injuries if they are cold, so by keeping your hands warm, you are protecting your hands, (and if you wondering if you hands got too hot by wearing these gloves, they don't, because of the many vents on the gloves)!!
WRIST CLOSURE
The wrist band is made of latex, mainly because it makes the gloves more comfortable, and if any shots were to hit you in your wrist area, you have a good chance of a (lucky) save! The band is tightened by Velcro, and there are two sections of Velcro, a small one that is always covered up by the opposite type of Velcro, and there is also...

Don't do it unless its got a..
Review of Cateye MSC-2Dx by
Eatcha
Advantages: Cost and ease of use
Disadvantages: You got to learn not to trust it with you life
...If your wearing a wrist strap. Why? Most people choose a wrist strap type heart monitor in fact they can cause a lot of trouble. Take this challenge Place your watch on your wrist a heart level – your blood pressure will drop. Now shake it only slowly goes up doesn’t it. Even worse lower your wrist take a new reading then lock your wrists at right angles (pull them back to wear you can’t bend them much) OK. Your reading should now have gone up again.
Now try the same with a chest strap. Totally different yes! I myself use a wrist strap device its what I could afford at the time and to be honest I still probably couldn’t afford a chest strap. If you use one of these you’ve got to be aware of all the little oddities, your not measuring your blood pressure direct (infact that would really hurt) what you...
