...The Brand
Cateye are a Japanese company and have been around since 1946. They have 3 factories 2 in Japan and one in China. They have always produced good looking (in my opinion) and well built lights (certainly in the past). Pricier but better made than their competitors.
The Cateye Experience
The lights are small and have 3 fairly bright LED's. They are intended to make you visible to other road users in well lit towns. If you are venturing out onto unlit roads then these are not the lights for you. The lights have 2 modes steady and flash. A small button on the underside of the unit turns the light on/off and selects flash/steady. The button is fairly easy to use, and can be found with little trouble with a gloved hand.

...I can't believe no-one has written a review of this product yet. I got this product 2 weeks ago and I strongly recommend it as something any bike user should own. Naturally, everyone has different bikes that reuire different fittings etc, but for anyone with a standard bike, this is the lighting for you. Obviously, the length which the light shines is about the same as others (roughly 250 metres) but this is still a very good attribute to have. It is relatively cheap as well, at a valuable 21.99 pounds.
If people are worried about it breaking (pardon...

Advantages: Very bright, good battery life Disadvantages: Brighter lights available, build quality questionable, battery heavy and gets in the way
...a problem. My frame is fairly small, and I have problems with bottles at the best of times. With this bag in place, unless you can use a set of vertical bottle mounts, you'll need to look at alternative ways of getting your drink.
Heading out somewhere suitably dark, flipping the switches on both lights, you are surrounded by a halo of light. Cars treat you with more respect, because they can't figure out what you are. You avoid potholes that you may not have seen with your old lights. Wonderful.
CatEye quote a 3.2 hour battery life with one light on, 1.6 hours with both. I've not timed it, but they've not run out on me at an inconvenient moment yet, although the instructions do recommend you carry a battery light with you as a backup.
Now the other gripe. On a few occasions, I've flipped the switch to the off position, only to...
