Advantages: Original twist on the tried and tested RPG format Disadvantages: Mind-numbing XP grinds, no mini-games
Firstly, I'd like to point out that this game is actually called Shin Megami Tensei: Lucifer's Call (also known by the title Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne), so goodness knows what ciao were thinking of when they processed my product request!
WHAT IS IT?
Shin Thingumy Whatsit (I'll call it SMT hereafter) is an RPG (role playing game) for PS2. SMT carries a 12+ guidance certificate, which is reasonable enough, given that it's a bit dark and probably would be quite scary for younger children.
STORYLINE
The player takes on the role of a teenage Japanese boy in modern Tokyo, just before the 'Conception' which is some kind of surreal twisting of reality, prior to the rebirth of the Earth. What this means, in effect, is that Tokyo has been warped into a vague globe shape, with areas of the city separated by deserts or raggedy ...
Advantages: just excellence with a clever storyline Disadvantages: the ending is a little deflating
ON GUARD- A review by Addy
Background
On Guard is a French made film that was adapted for film from the book titled Le Bossu, (The Hunchback) by the author Paul Feval. On Guard was released in 2004 and is your swashbuckling style movie in the vein of all those classic Musketeer movies or The Count of Monte Christo. Being made in France the film On Guard is in French language with English subtitles. This gem of a film is filled to the brim with conspiracy, action, retribution, love, and passion with a healthy layer of wit to top it all off. However, for me what this film has in such abundance is simply that it is such great fun.

Yeah, City, not United (Sorry City fans!). It was, I think, the first match played with the new boys being, somewhat, settled in and in the first signs of the new, slightly more defensive formation. It works. Chelsea has the big guns up front and Chelsea has the cash to ensure that they always have big guns up in front, so, what they need to concentrate working on is ...
