As a company circle one has a good reputation for making good quality wetsuits. My current winter wetsuit is from them and I find that it is exceptionally durable and comfortable. Some of the more expensive branded products (quicksilver, rip curl etc) do not appear to be as well made. Many of my friends have had problems with their suits coming apart at the seems but I have never had a problem with my suit or know of anybody who has. It seems your paying for the quality rather than the brand name. It's true that they arent as stylish as many other branded suits but they are definetly a good buy.
As mentioned in the previous review the cheapest time to buy a wet suit is end of season (winter one end of winter) summer- end of summer.
The wet suit is five milimeters thick (summer suits are normally around three) which is about the average thickness for most winter suits. Thicker suits are of course warmer but will be more restrictive so you need to weigh up comfort over practicality. The only time the suit ever felt cold was around feb time so a hood certainly came in handy.
The suit is comfortable as long as you get the right size for you. As for is it easy to get in and out of-no but no wetsuits are, and if they are they are too big (or you are too small-or both, probably both )
This suit has one key pocket (not on the arm-which i wish it did for easier access)
The suit is double seem welded so it is very duarable.
If you intend to buy online becuase it tends to be cheaper I would recomend trying on a few suits in a shop and getting the shop keepers opinion (who hopefully should know a little bit about what he or she's talking about) probably best not to mention that you intend to buy on line and are just using his shop as a fitting room.
Always buy polycholoroprene wetsuits. Cheap suits that have recently begun to flood the market may look identitical but they will probaly not be made from this material and will not be anywhere near as thermal. Generally speaking always be carefull buying any surf equipment. Althougth many give good advice, during tourist season shops will be trying hard to make a sale so all their wetsuits/boards are cheaper and better than next doors because blah blah b;ah
If every board in the place regardless of whether it is short, long, fat thin etc says 'suitable for beginners' then you probably dont want to be shopping there. Know roughly what you want before you buy and you hopefully come out with a bargain. It is also possible to haggle over prices as there is alot of competition espicially around newquay area. I have often got 10-15% discounts. If you look like you know what your talking about and take everything they say with a pince of salt you will hopefully come out with a surfboard rather than a canoe.
That is considerably better. Even though it isn't particulary long, it tells me everything I'd need to know, and it's explained in a way that even a non surfer can understand.
Sorry to rate SH, but there is actually very little information about the 'suit here. Even though I'm not a surfer myself, if I was I would want to know how easy it is to get in and out of, how thermal it is - as a winter suit I'm guessing it's meant to be warm - and whether it's fairly water resistant. Does it stick to the 'board if you lay flat? Does it attract sand? Let me know if you edit and I will happily come and rerate :-)
